I agree with what you're saying, but if he hacks it, then surely thats a positive No other real choice though, especially if something was up with the police raids or clubs findings. Maybe it was just the daft clauses that made them take action, although Craig David believes a lot had to do with FS ill health and was the main reason he's walked away. Any which way, its probably not what they had planned, it might be sooner than expected, or this guy might just be the dogs bollocks and we've hit a gem in the making. His previous does suggest this man is a leading light in the world of business, i'm happy to have him, but it would be nice for a footballing man to be in with him to keep it a football club in need of a businessman, and not ending up a business needing a footballing man.

I hear that too, for the job pullout. I was speaking to one of their sales reps in advertising a while back, they're struggling to justify their prices in the face of internet competition, I mean N.O gets more traffic than they do, why should someone pay them say 100 quid a week to say sell old programmes, when they could come on here and pay 20 quid, and sell them all in one go? Its dying on all areas, but i can't help believe the back pages being so steeped in bullshit is the main reason people are not buying. Papers do have now a natural fight against other media sources, but in the end quality of the articles will win out, there's been nothing quality about the back pages for some time now. I honestly think we've got a better team of writers here, and if given the chance our lads would show them lot up on all fronts.

It's alright when they do a double page on an ex-player talking about his time with NUFC. Although arguably The Mag do a better job in their "Whey Aye man, he played for the Toon". They've had the life of luxury for a long time, but let their lead reporter get far too close to the club, and he fell into the back pocket of a failing chairman desperate to keep the fans off his back. Surely a senior editor must see that this wasn't impartial journalism anymore? But no, they carried on with sensationalized stories and instead of appeasing the fans and readers, they've became the enemy, and their attempt at a forum shows the level of contempt people have not only for Anal, but now for the paper themselves. The Chronicle would be wise to start their own new era, and bring in a fresh new team to report on the club and phase or even sack the self titled 'peoples mouth ring piece'.

No doubt Celtic will play like its the battle of Britain as usual and run into our players like Braveheart. Why the fuk we insist on playing these tossers all the time in 'friendlies' i do not know.
-
Also something i've noticed especially with my friends, or younger people in pubs or people at work is that they all once believed in the Chronicle, and had very strange and warped views on football and especially NUFC and how it was ran. Armed with about 5% of the actual knowledge of the club they all thought we were in good condition, Freddy was our Saviour, and that GR deserved another chance and Souness was unlucky. After putting them right several times they've actually seen the light and take Anal as the fool that he really is, and have gone searching to find out more about the club they 'support'. Times are changing, people are turning their back on the Chronicle and its spreading. All i ever hear now is the Chronicle is only good on a Thursday from people, the same people who swore down everything they read at the back was nailed on and Anal was some sort of genius.

Eh? How the fuck has that happened??????? The site profiles every player, just got to find the right number to find the player you want. 'Posters' have been doing it for about 18 months now, but we should all lighten and and start new threads with our findings.

I know this is probably preaching to the converted, but this is what i find incredible. As if there weren't more base things to fix first, and as if the trophy signing thing hadn't been tried before. I'm aware I'm possibly touching a sensitive subject as an outside here, however, so I'll back off, but you know what I mean. FWIW, I imagine SA is the kind of manager who WOULD put the basics right first as a matter of urgency. No, its exactly what am talking about. SA hopefully can do it, but the cheap options he's looking at at the back just say the same shite again to me, i want quality signings, £5m+ players and 4 of them, then were somewhere near ready for next season. Its not asking a lot imho.
-
Not really. He can release statements on the NUFC website and alert SSN's to any news story. Then the next day the Chronicle can pick up on developments. This club does not need the Chronicle, in fact the fuking thing hinders the club.

This is why am pissed off were not going for Baines and the likes of. Were not going to bring in any decent foreign talent this season due to the lack of fight and ability from the team last season and not even managing to get us into the Inter toto, so we must bring in hungry, young and talented Brits, Baines & Davies are a perfect combo for this club. If we could persuade Sol the meatball to come along for the ride we'd be laughing. But nowt seems to be happening for some reason, but still were linked with Deco & Ronaldinho, its a fuking incredible football club, we were made to sell papers, god forbid we'd become a normal winning side.

Agreed, so I propose we sell Dyer and use the money from that to go towards Baptista's price /FMtastic His price will still be £10 million though. I know, but instead of paying all that out, use the money from Dyer's sale, kind of like how Parker paid for Barton and Rozehnal, so it would be like paying £6m (if we got £4 for Dyer) for replacing a poorish player with a much better one, which would make it all the more palatable price wise. Sounds canny in my heed anyway I wouldn't sell Dyer for anything less than £6m, i wouldn't pay anything more than £8m for Bappy. I think he'd be class in the centre of the park alongside Barton, but we'd be taking a chance, and about all the confusion about where he plays, for me he's an attacking mid who cant play striker and is strong enough to be a holding man in a weak league due to his strength.
-
Fair play to him for saying that. I think the fact that he said talking to the media is not Chris Morts priority means you can more or less rubbish every story he prints about new signings! Like that lunatic will be allowed anywhere near Mort to ask or tell him things from now on. "Mr Mort, a Mr Oliver is downstairs wondering if he could have a chat with you" "Release the hounds" "No scrap that, release Joey Barton"
-
He's an ugly cunt even for a radio phone in.

My guess is Dein is waiting until the Arsenal takeover is complete by the yank as he was a supporter of the yank takeover, and why he fell out with the Arsenal board. The latest name is Bernie Ecclestone for Arsenal. Has more money than the yank as well. But if you know F1, you'll know why Bernie isn't such a great option to go with.

From where am sitting these rules are doing a fuking fantastic job.
-
He hasn't come out and said he IS signing any defenders, when asked he has said he would LIKE 3-4 defenders. He might as well said he'd like to walk on the moon in his boxer shorts for a couple of hours on his day off. More chance of that happening than us signing 4 defenders.
-
At least legally Mort will know what he's doing. Someone with footballing experience in the DOF role would be great now, but even after that i think one or two more men on board wouldn't do us any harm. For so long we've had a team of yes men, lets hope the new decisions up at board level are to bring in some strong personalities who'll bring different ways of thinking.
-
FS had to go ASAP, pushed, sacked left? Who fuking cares, the useless ball of shit has gone. I wish him well though now he's nothing to do with the club anymore, and i hope we keep it that way for good. He is a fan just like us now, its just a shame he couldn't suffer like us under his reign of terror, then he'd know why he's the most hated man in Newcastle. The new board really need to make quick steps now after hindering our summer spending spree that the club desperately needs. I hope funds will now be released asap and we get a defense in. We should go for the likes of Baines & Davies, young, English and with a decent level of talent, it doesn't matter if we could get better or have paid slightly over the odds, they'll keep their value and we really have no other real options unless we go abroad, which scares me slightly.
-
Carr not shite then? And Babayaro. Then i'll be happy.
-
Probably soon now. Wouldn't be surprised if 90% of the whole "strategic review" was Mort being initiated by Freddie. I'm surprised his knowledge took so long to pass on. "Here's where i sit...Erm...This is the water cooler, its a canny one...erm, these, well, erm, these are flowers, but with a difference, there not real, they are fake! Hehehe"
-
"I would like to thank Freddy Shepherd for all he has done for the Club over the last 15 years." I wouldn't.
-
Strange, anyone know why? Typo maybe? Anyway, the witch is dead!
-
Hope we do go in and he does turn us down and they can throw it back in our faces simply because sitting on our arse waiting for decent players to turn up on our doorstep begging to be signed is working well so far. If Baines was or has been in our sights and we've allowed another team, especially our rivals to get this close to a deal then the new board and SA want shot with FS's shit imo. But my guess is we were never after him as at £6m its too much for this club to spend when we've got no money at all.
-
Barton being injured doesn't change my stance on him or Emre, both can fuk off for fees above £6m. Anything less and we keep a hold of and use until someone starts talking proper money for them. Why the fuk do WHU think they can get one of our players on the cheap after their spending this summer and the fact they'll be direct rivals this season to us? Fuk off you ugly cockney cunts, you can have him, you can have both (same goes to Tottenham) but you will pay us fairly you rotton cocks.
