  1. Lita is shite. He's got some easy goals in this competition.

I see this transfer is picking up speed now.
  3. That plus the coaches & managers, i'm surprised he's got this far by himself. Tony Adams is really the only person to ever stamp any good influence on him, i'm sure with better coaches, better manager and a wise head to learn from he'd turn into the hyped player we all want.
  4. Taylor is the only real defender we have right now. Good plan to sack everyone and start again, although Baba & Carr seriously need to be shown the door. Taylor now needs some stability to bring him on, he needs players equal to his quality, and to settle down into the rountine of defending, not constantly plugging holes and making do with makeshift players, its not good enough at this level. Good news is, he hasn't stopped developing, even though i was highly critical of him last season being too bullish and doing some rather embarassing things, overall, he starts this season a better defender than the start of last. Hopefully he can keep going at the rate he is, if so he's a valuable asset, but i think now is the time he needs a settled backline to play in, an experienced head at the back is a must if the lad ever wants to be a captain, we need to provide one for him, Sol Campbell would be my 1st choice, i think the pair of them would be fantastic next season together.
  5. and its not like he was playing for coventry either is it? playing in a man u team that always creates shedloads of chances...just wasn't clinical enough when i mattered from what i remember Too much pressure, should of went to Boro.
  6. My guess small, about 5ft 5-7. Looked small imo, could totally be wrong.
  7. They've got £6m to splash on a leftback? Highly doubt it. I doubt the lad would swap one relegation battling team for another. He wants to move to a 2nd tier football club if he's to leave his life behind and start again.
  8. Silly money, they'd be better off buying Bent for £15m.
  9. Well if they were offered £17m by WHU, and accepted and he rejected, then he can't complain when they reject the likes of £12m bids from teams he'd rather go to. I think they'd go with £15m plus as long as he wavers any financial right from then since he's the one to reject the massive transfer to WHU. Only fair imo.
  10. I imagine he's still got property over there and it's closer to Africa than England is. Don't see anything dodgy about that. I'd imaging to more to do with being in a place he feels safe and comfortable, he'll have a lot of friends in Italy, people to watch his back, people he can trust, just what you want when someone just tried to kill you tbf. Not having a pop, just saying thats all.
  11. Well thats him not going to the African Nations. Italy still very much in his heart i see.

Still the most boring transfer going on right now. Wake me when its done.

True about the last line, but both of those examples were young at the time, both are still younger than Rozy now, and both were plucked from obscurity. You could say Rozy is almost on top of his game.

It might just work out. Given our history of spending big to try and sort out the defence. I know what you mean though. Like i just commented, i reckon he's a squad player nothing more, the fee reflects that, but we do need those types of players, but it doesn't detract from the most boring transfer of the summer so far!

I do trust him, i expect him to be worth the £3m figure, but thats an average squad player in the EPL, nothing more.

If he was something special everyone would of heard of him. At hiss age he's done his learning, he's not one for the future, and the PSG fans dont even know what his best position is, at 26, that's very Aaron Hughes of him.

Most boring transfer of the summer so far, and that's not just for us. Average player no on has ever heard of, low fee, only two clubs in for him, neither sets of fans are arsed about the transfer, no direct quotes from the player or NUFC, just yo-yo comments from the French & German camps.
  18. The 0.1% chance Sheff Utd just went to 0.000001%. Compensation or a possible point deduction are the only possibilities for them now. Fukers.
  19. When the original rumour was posted here a few people seemed to think he hadn't yet given up on the club being taken over by the consortium he was backing before he left. Who knows if that was based on anything solid. But if that is the case he'd take some persuading to take another job if there's any chance of being reinstated at Arsenal. But as I said, I hope he has given up on that idea and that Ashley has approached him and convinced him that his future is at Newcastle. I'd piss my pants with excitement if that happened to be honest. He might just want to retire. He could though be the trouble shooter, coming in for a few weeks to give a review of the club, sounds very possible. Good idea if so.
  20. Gerrard isn't old enough to do that yet is he? (sure its over 28 and last two years on contract can be bought out) Reina certainly isn't, and he signed nearly two weeks ago, what been going on since then? Carragher is so fair enough, but his and Gerrards deals were done even before Reina's, so again, what has been going on between 'phase one' and 'phase two'
