    The freebies.

They've been saying that for the last 8 days or so though, but tomorrow never comes. Maybe i'm just being impatient but i think it would be a good idea to nail these two down asap.

Anyone else think the Viduka & Ben Haim deals are passing us by due to SA being on holiday and the constant speculation of the future of the club? It would be a shame to miss out on two steals, we've already missed out on Sidwell for changing our manager (fair enough if you put it like that), are we about to lose out on these two for similar instability? Would be nice to see NUFC make some good moves in the transfer market especially so early on in the window, but time is ticking and offers will be coming in all the time, we should of had these deals sorted by now imo.

    David Rozehnal

Tomas Ujfalusi has apparently been made available from Fiorentina, so hopefully SA is having a look at him as well or that's who he has been looking at. Am not sure about Rozehnal, France currently have a dogshit league.

So, not quite the impact you 1st thought, although you could say it just took him a while to settle, and it would probably be the same again moving to England. He could of course have had a World Cup hangover after he failed miserably after being hyped so much (although his Country held him back and didn't play him in full) and he was expecting a much bigger club such as Arsenal to be coming in for him, it might of give him a knock. He's an option, but i wouldn't pay anymore than what his current club have paid for him. I'm a fan of the big targetman upfront, it brings wingers into life, but maybe this one isn't the right one for us as.

Poor at World Cup - YES Poor at Spanish League - cobblers! Came in at Xmas and scored 12, assists 8, fouls leading to penalties 5 (he didn't take penalties). Racing were a team in the bottom 3 when he joined them! Now in 10th ...and were still in running for Europe up until 2 weeks ago! His stats are the highest of any striker in La Liga for 2nd half of season...so that is poor,eh? Get your FACTS straight ! As for Berbatov - likelihood is small; but he is only on £22k a week (ONLY!) at Spurs... You said he came in at xmas in another thread, im' sure he joined straight after the world cup 06. Are you sure about this as i've chekced and every where is reporting he had joined in August 06 and has played 32 games in the league, which is impossible if he joined at xmas time. For example: His stats: http://home.skysports.com/player.aspx?plid=24532&clid=189&cpid=23 The day he signed: http://home.skysports.com/list.aspx?hlid=413074&plid=24532&clid=189&cpid=23 Wiki confirms both (although that mean nowt) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nikola_%C5%BDigi%C4%87 Played 27 games for Racing including cup games. Played with RedStar up until his transfer.Pretty sure of stats "He's a lanky b******, but isn't particularly good in the air and has very little presence. It's almost like a disadvantage for him." Far better in air than Peter Crouch I would suggest? But I would have no problems with Crouch being the signing...all the rumours are that Liverpool are keeping Crouch though, and dumping Bell-end. Nowhere seems to agree with you. 32 games in the league, i've even found a place with how many minutes he's played in La Liga, something like 2800, which is about 32 full games.
  7. They wont be buying them for a while after next season anyway. Buy? They steal them from washing lines. Wash?

    Mikel Arteta

If Rangers had the balls + cash they could of had Gattuso & Arteta bossing there midfield. Naaa. Gattuso was always going to move on, he was just too good to remain in Scotland for his career. Just think of the quality difference between him and Scottish and Rangers legend, best player Scotland have, captain fan-dabby-dozy etc... Barry Ferguson. PS: They could of possibly kept hold of Arteta since the lad plays for Everton and has no ambition to further his NT career.

Totally agreed. Like i said in another thread we might as well go for Crouch who technically is a much better player and would cost the same.
  10. I'n sure selling them wouldn't be an issue, he could just transfer them to his wife or son if he wanted to keep them.

    Mikel Arteta

Walking along, singing a song, walking in a Ikon wonderland! (Although its a good dream) That team would not be impossible imo Not IF Sam gets a big transferkitty. Easier getting Fernandes than Arteta. I simply would love to see that midfield for the toon. Some people here are mentioning players like Berbatov and Diego. THAT is dreaming too much And someone like Diego would not be suited to play in a 4-4-2 system. Not in the premiership anyway. Appiah and Fernandes in the middle could be immense. I really like Fernandes. Class player and will probably get better and better. We should seriously look at Fernandes, but i dont think he's on the radar unfortunately.

I agree but I still think he will choose Bayern over us, although Bayern want Emre of us, so agree to the deal as long as they back off and let us talk to Klose Nearly 30, contract running out and didn't do too well this season in the league (15 goals) i cant see his club demanding much for him.
  13. Was he the guy who said the Fa should pay us £20m compensation for Owen as well?

  15. this club needs a good shake up from top to bottom and it should have been a long time ago ,if we sit still we die . No ur absolutely right. I wouldnt mind having Dein come in with Ashley, as long as we keep Big Sam is what Im trying to say. Having said that, I would rather Dein did not come in if that meant removing Allardyce and installing anyone else. I really believe Big Sam's appointment will prove even more historic for this club than any appointment of a Wenger or Scolari. Not even sure on the Ashley issue should he not see that Big Sam is the way forward. Am in agreement with that apart from the highlighted bit, Sam is solid but there are better and the two mentioned are much better.

  17. They think they are above the law, above any other fan and person walking this earth. They think they have the right to challenge and push authority and when they do they believe they were hard done by when those authorities snap. A ban seems harsh, but if anyone deserves it its the Liverpool fans, without question.

The guy has talent, its just a shame he's a pecker. He'd struggle to make an impact in this league, has enough pace, but is one of th weakest players in Spain. We've got ball-boys who are stronger than him.
  19. Been on holiday a while, lets hope he stays there.
  20. SAy we do sign Barton and we do pay the full £5.5m is there any chance he could go to prison? Look at the attack on Dabo and how it left him afterwards, then remember back to Duncan Ferguson headbutt which did fuk all yet he got 3 months. I don't see how its possible for any club to sign him right now as Dabo is pressing charges and Barton will be found guilty where public opinion will surely see him get a custodial sentence.
  21. Bramble's mistakes will go unpunished Can't actuallly work out what would happen, reminds me of questions like "Can God make a cake so big not even God could eat it" or "What happens when an irresistible force meets an immovable object? " What would happen when a stiker who is incapable of scoring goals faces off against a defender who is incapable of not conceding goals? I think some kind of dark matter would be created and the universe would implode in on itself. This.
  22. Imaging them two one on one in training?
  23. Shola is a great 4th striker imo, but i think that's where he belongs right now, its a shame he didn't get to prove himself last season, the club yet again let him down as they knew he had a hip problem at the end of 2005/06 and did fuk all about it.
  24. Would be the coup of the century so far, although I can understand how you'd hate to admit it. It's never going to happen. That may be the case, but if it did and at that price, it would be an amazing piece of business. I'd put money on Sunderland staying up if they did sign him. Lot of money for a season or two, and like i said before, he'd struggle in a team that are not on his level. £2mills not a lot if it means staying up or relegation,or the difference in 2 or 3 places in the prem,...could be a good move for both, personally i see him at old trafford for 1 more season £2m plus his £2.5m a year wages, a lot of money for a 32 year old and for a club returning to the EPL. Only so many Irish and Manu contacts Keane can abuse until he has to do what everyone else does. but remember,if they stay up that £4.5mill will be worth it and his signing would attract others Butt & Duff for £9m? Fine by me.
