  1. McBride - no better than sibbi - no point Doyle - gamble & Reading will demand too much - £6m minimum King - Shite & injured championship player Nugent - Over-priced not in form - £6m? No ta Viduka - Fat, lazy, arshole, wanker Ozzie, Smoggy, over paid, over fed, under talented waste of oxygen Cole - hahahahahahahaha hohohohohohohohohoho hehehehehehehehehehe - sensible suggestions only please Beattie - Worth a crack at £2m. I sort of agree, but it shows how desperate we are for strikers that Beattie would be a good buy when you remember that only a couple of years ago most of us laughed at the idea. It would be nice to be one of these clubs that can find a star player in South America for nowt. If Dutch and German clubs can do it and French clubs finding players in Africa, why can't we? That's what get's on my tit's the most. This club is clueless in that regard, it would seem. We spotted Nobby and that's about it, pretty sad. Work permits are different with these countries though. They can sign one non EU a season without them having to play Internationals etc...
  2. You might laugh at this one, but what about Adriano? 5 starts, 7 subs, no goals. Take him on loan, pay his wages, set a fee in the summer for £8-10m. Now that would be a fantastic gamble. Means we can spend this £10m elsewhere. I'd even take his team mate Julio Cruz on a free, getting on, but still got good physical presence.

Laughed at him for £7-8m, and we were all right in that respect, Everton were wrong. £2m for him now is no laughing matter, seeing the return Sibby has given us, players like Beattie, who you know can do better can be a bargain buy, especially when we really just need a stop gap type player till the summer.

  5. James Beattie could be on the move for £2m. Worth a gamble? I think so.
  6. I've also heard its re-hashed quotes from ages ago, and he's actually talking about how he cannot be selfish anymore as he's in charge of so many careers.
  7. a lot of money, would rather go for Alan Smith for £6m.
  8. http://home.skysports.com/list.aspx?hlid=434912&plid=31223&clid=51&cpid=11 Crewe Alexandra are determined to get the top price for Jon Otsemobor, amid reports Bolton Wanderers want the full-back. Otsemobor has been placed on the transfer list at Gresty Road after rejecting an offer to extend his contract, which expires at the end of the season. He has been linked with a January move to Bolton, where he spent two months on loan from Liverpool back in 2004. Crewe boss Dario Gradi is believed to want £400,000 for the defender and is keen for the club to receive a fair price for Otsemobor. "I still think he owes us because we rescued him from Rotherham," Gradi told the club's official website. "When we did the same with Jermaine Wright from Wolves' reserves, he refused to sign a new contract, but we got £500,000 for him. "He owed us, we got our money, so that was that." Billy Jones is also in the same situation as Otsemobor, and Gradi feels he has no option but to sell the versatile teenager in January. He added: "I have always stated how disappointed I am in the two lads that have turned down a new contract. "I always thought that one day, one of our kids could well turn around and say he isn't signing, but I never expected it to be Billy. I've told him that. "Now it is my job to sell him and get as much money as I can for him, as to not put those kids coming up behind him in any jeopardy." ----------------------------------- Jones is off this window, i hope were watching.
  9. I'd pay anything up to that for him, but Crewe, running on a tight budget, in League one are willing to talk at £500k. I'd actually offer them the £500k and loan him back for the season, or if he's decent enough from the off, offer a loanee of our own to them for the remainder of the season. If a bidding war starts, or looks likely, just offer a straight £1m and you'd be talking to him that day, Crewe aren't afraid to sell when the money is right. Nicky Maynard is another player from Crewe who i think could be one to watch, but only burst on the scene this season, scored some goals mind you, but i think next season we'll see if its real quality or not. ------------------------------------------------------- http://home.skysports.com/list.aspx?hlid=431347&plid=52544&clid=51&cpid=11 Crewe Alexandra have placed Jon Otsemobor on the transfer list, but Nicky Maynard has signed a new contract at Gresty Road. Otsemobor has been put up for sale by Crewe boss Dario Gradi after refusing to sign an extension to his deal which expires at the end of the season. Gradi is unhappy with the full back's stance and admits he has no option but to circulate Otsemobor's name to other clubs. "We've transfer listed Otsemobor because he has decided against signing a new deal," Gradi told the club's official website. "He has told me that he is happy to wait until the summer, but we're not happy with that, we don't want to wait until Christmas. "We rely heavily on selling players, more and more so in fact, and if everybody took the stance that Otsemobor and Billy Jones have, then we'd be playing non-league football in a few years' time." Gradi could replace Otsemobor by handing French defender Patrick Noubissie a short-term deal after a trial with the League One club. But Gradi has been boosted by teenage striker Maynard's commitment to the club by extending his contract through to 2010. Maynard has scored 11 goals for Crewe this season, but has missed the last three matches with a hamstring injury.

    Baines fee?

Athletico Madrid. Who have the joint best defensive record in the league blueeek.gif Shit, might be doing well this season then. lol Yeah, although their attacking play isn't up to much, if Torres left they would really start to struggle as Kezman is doing F*** all there too What a wasted talent that boy is. Which leads me to think a Luque make weight deal would be beneficial for both parties? I agree with Perea too, watched him when they have been on sky and reminds me of Rio, a ball-playing defender, though more of a centre back than fullback. Luque + 1-2 Million for Seitaridis would do nicely. On to something there with Luque going the other way. I hope someone from NUFC reads these fuking boards, i really do. Whether u love him or hate him - reality is Luque's going. and I think it's a great idea to use him as a makeweight for a deal with a spanish team. Seitereidis is good - if we have more money what about Daniel Alves? i know Liverpool wanna get him but who knows? But my first choice is still Bridge, followed by Baines. Left back is our priority. My transfer list for Jan: Bridge = 4-5 mill Viduka = 500K - 1mill Upson = 4-5 mill If we have around 15 mill available we should be ok....but I'm not optimistic I would be more than happy if we just signed Bridge tbh Danni Alves is out of our league, i think financially he's out of Liverpool's league, chelsea should sign him, it would cost Chelsea money to get him out of his club now imo. (£13-16m) Signed contract today with a 60million euro buy out clause. bluebigeek.gif Bargain!
  11. He has enough quality just like Taylor to make an England call up. For £500k its worth a gander. He's been playing as a DMC this season, another area in the future we have nothing for. Billy Jones has EPL class written through him like a stick of rock, we need him in our squad.
  12. http://www.football.co.uk/crewe/players/billy_jones_105236.shtml Profile: Billy Jones came through the Crewe youth academy and made his debut as a 16-year-old. He performed well and soon found himself as a regular in the first team. He has captained the England Under-16 and under-17 teams and recently made his debut for the under-19 team. His first ever senior goal was voted 'goal of the season' and he won the 'young player of the year award' and the traveling fans player of the year awards. Jones got injured in the second half of last season but still managed 24 appearances and this season he is being used in midfield instead of defence. http://www.fansfc.com/speculation_news.asp?sid=7877&fcid=3 Alex boss Dario Gradi said: “It is my job to sell him and get as much money as I can for him.” /\/\ Man City with a £500k bid, offer £1m and he's ours, no regrets imo. SS's Jones profile: http://home.skysports.com/player.aspx?plid=31223&clid=51&cpid=11 ---------------------------------- Some info on him.
  13. Billy Jones, classy little right back for Crewe, although can play across the back 4 no problem and in midfield if required, which is what we need tbh with all our injuries. About 19, into his 4th season now as a 1st teamer, at 19! Must of played 100 games already if not more. Solid, consistent, a leader, big tackler, big heart, fans love him. (scored a couple of peaches as well) Big moves awaits him, i just hope its us. Stuart Pearce is a fan, i think he'd be excellent under him. A one for the future, but would be able to do a job now.
  14. Ashton would cost you £11m+, not that he's worth it mind.
  15. They want £6m for Nugent meh bluebiggrin.gif Manu want £6m for Alan Smith. Tempted anyone?

  18. yes, but im not sure about Preston Preston & Nugent have been in the Championship for a while now. Eastwood hasn't, therefore Nugent has been doing it longer at this level than Eastwood. Eastwood is all hype imo. Nugent is a canny player, someone needs to take a chance on him, but no more than £3m. Portsmouth are supposedly going to make a 5mil bid for him sorry about all of the hyperlinks. http://home.skysports.com/list.aspx?hlid=433960&plid=12744&clid=47&cpid=8 Na, not a gamble we can afford tbh. £5m is way too much, unless its £3m upfront, £1m when we win summit (haha fuk Preston) & £1m for his 1st Int app) I dunno 10 mil on Martins was a gamble, buying any sriker is a gamble and even if he doesn't do spectacularly well in his first season he is only 21 and supposedly one of the fastest strikers in the Championship according to the wikipedia thing, could you imagine the pace in the team then with Martins fastest player in the Prem, Dyer very quick, Duff Nzogbia both pretty fast more Nzogbia though and then Nugent that would be an amazingly quick midfield + up front and not forgetting Owen When i've seen him he didn't look fast at all, but his age is a bonus, two 21 year olds upfront for the future, good stuff.

I love Riise's attitude and attacking instincts. But his defending gives me the shakes a lot of the time bluebiggrin.gif He's one of these players you can't help but like (which is why I find it incredulous a so called Liverpool fan calls him a tosser), but defensively he isn't all that. He gets away with it a lot in the Prem, but sometimes he gets in trouble cos of it. Basically, he's a player with a spot-on attitude, he's a workhorse, doen't get many injuries, he's good for a few goals a season, but he isn't the best defensively. That is how I'd sum him up! Sell his own grandmother though, even Champions league medals are not worth keeping to him
  20. no problems if you had meant doing it for longer in the championship you would of been right too because he has been there for 2 years wereas Eastoowd has been in the Championship for one however Eastwood has the better record this season for Championship golas... Eastwood hasn't even been there for a year, and Nugent ha struggled with injury, and Preston keep rushing him back IIRC. Southend are on a buzz as well (or were a few weeks ago), but tbh, niether have really impressed me so far this season.

  22. I'd be decently happy if we bought Nugent (£3m), Billy Jones (£1m) & Curtis Davies (£5m) with our money in the window. Shame we'd have to put up with Babayaro for another 5 months (unless we found a £1m LB bargain)
