I went with £10m on a Left & Right back. Just think the defense and team plays so much better without Carr & Babayaro in it even with makeshift and youth players that if we got two quality players in, we'd be solid at the back, and even better going forward down the wings.

Working off the reported amount available to GR in this window (£10m) how do you think the club should spend its money?

Adams did a good job on Steven Taylor when we loaned him to Wycombe. He learned a lot under him, although Adams did do a shit job with the club. But why would he leave Pompy to come here? If he wants to leave to have another bash at management he's not going to up all the way up here to take another coaching role. I would like him here, but i think Pearson is doing a great job, and maybe more so than what Adams could ever do, we just dont know.

Kluivert was crap at the clubs he went to after us. He was also crap at Barcelona in the season before he came to us and their fans hated him. Conclusion? He was crap. Kluivert wasn't crap, he was a better footballer than Alan Shearer, he just gave up and couldn't be arsed to fill his potential or even keep up a good standard of fitness. Too much money ruined him, but like he gives a shit, and that's the problem with Kluivert, he just didn't and its ruined his career.

For £3m he's the striker we need to buy. I wouldn't pay any more than that, and i dont think NUFC should spend anymore money than that on a striker when we've limited funds, and no bodies to play.

Owen is a footballer with great thinking and instincts, im sure he will be ok. Still him losing anymore pace would make it even more difficult to be the Owen of old. But, the 18months off football could help him later in his career, but i doubt he'll be here then.
