  1. Boo Boo, i bet you a fiver Rossi starts more games in the league for the rest of the season than he did here. Dont know how many he got here, but i guarantee Fergie out of pure principle will start him more just to say what a waste to GR one more time.
  2. In all honesty it would have done the club better to give Carrol the odd 10 minutes here and there rather than grooming a MUFC player. Its not as iff bringing on Rossi ever changed a game. I agree with that, much rather we blood our own.
  3. From the evidence I've seen, he'll fart about in MU reserves, get the odd ten minutes and be peddled withing three years. The next David Bellion tbh. No chance. Better than Saha or Smith in the future, nowhere near Rooney or Ronaldo though. Rossi is a keeper for Manu, and one to watch for years to come, if we signed him permanently i'd be buzzing. Not having a pop but what evidence are you basing that on? Yeah he scores loads for the reserves but so did our very own Paul Brayson! He had a good shift v Portsmouth in the cup but otherwise (in his admittedly limited chances) he looked weak and not particular pacey. Given the relatively youthful partnership of Saha and Rooney i would say the kids of chances of first team football at Old Trafford are small. Last season he looked class anytime he played, taking shots from all over the joint scoring a couple of goals to boot. Not bad for a 18 year old adapting to a new life and league, and starting his career, on of Manu's more promising prospects for a while. Expected more from him but of course he was in a team of real quality under a manager who knows what he is doing last season.
  4. That'll be the same 3 yards Owen will likely have lost. Owen lost those 3 yards before we signed him with his injuries at Liverpool, the yards Owen has lost now will make Shearer look like the roadrunner!

  6. Fair enough, the lad was willing and ready, never let us down when played, only GR didn't use him. He'll get more games with Manu i reckon, Fergie will use him as he trusts him, something GR never did.
  7. What a cock, will always remember when Dabby-daz took 3yards of pace out of the cunt permanently for the rest of his career. I know the big Greek didn't mean it, but was still funny.
  8. Rossi keen to build on Newcastle experience http://www.timesonline.co.uk/article/0,,293-2520899,00.html Giuseppe Rossi is relishing the prospect of returning to Manchester United next week and cementing a regular place in Sir Alex Ferguson’s first-team squad. The Italy Under-21 forward admitted last night that his four-month loan spell at Newcastle United has not been as productive as he anticipated, having started only three league matches for Glenn Roeder’s side. Rossi, 19, could still participate in Newcastle’s visit to Goodison Park on Saturday, but his thoughts have already turned to playing an active role in United’s battle with Chelsea to win the championship. “I’m looking forward to going back to Old Trafford,” he said. “I’ve spoken to Sir Alex and I hope that there will be opportunities for me to play when I go back. That’s my main priority now, that’s all I’m thinking about. He has said he wants to have a big squad of players in the second half of the season and there might be an opportunity for me to show what I can do. “I’ll always have fond memories of the Newcastle fans. They are so passionate and whenever we have gone away they have followed us in their thousands, but I’m not thinking of coming back, I’m only thinking about Manchester United.” Rossi’s experiences at St James’ Park have been mixed. “It has helped me coming to Newcastle,” he said. “I’d have liked to have played more games, which has been a little frustrating, but I believe that you take something from every experience, whether it is good or bad. “I’ve enjoyed myself, I’ve had a few games under my belt, but it was only ever about coming here and taking that experience back with me to Manchester United. That was the purpose of the move.”
  9. More injury prone than Dyer, was a good player some 7-8 years ago, nothing special imo.

    Shay Given

what about Paul Robinson... he's good enough to be somebody's fourth choice keeper I reckon
  11. So what rumours have we got going around at the moment? Bale & Barnes link, but it was only GR stating how good they are, and not that were preparing a bid for them and with Arsenal looking at Bale, and fee's of ÂŁ7m being talked about with links to Manu, were out of the picture with that one. Woodgate yet again, which is a bad move, if he did return he'd break down within 10mins and be injured for the next 10months, and if he was to move anywhere, it would be back to Madrid as both player and manager would prefer that right now. Crouch wasn't going anywhere, but is getting unhappy with Rafa at the moment, a non starter of a link, but there could be more to it than we 1st thought. For ÂŁ7m i would. Pierre Boya sounds utter shit, expect him to be signed. Carew story denied, would of been a good loan move. Knight & a couple others have been ruled out by GR, cant remember if that included Distin or woody. Fatduka talk never dies, even if his footballing ability did some 10,000 pies ago. Doubt smogs would sell to us, plus GR must know fatboy is a toon hate figure. Thankfully nothing more has become of the Stelios talk, good news there, close call, phew. Out: Luque should be going back to Spain but probably a loan, Milner is staying, MON now looking elsewhere. Parker apparently not being sold, so WHU move out of the pic (which is just putting old manager, new club plus money together = paper bollocks, imo) So nothing excites there, and nothing looks like a real target for us apart from Boya, expect him to be our 1st signing.

    Pavel....Why?

http://www.newcastle-online.com/nufcforum/index.php/topic,29790.0.html If he said noT one, he might have been correct as there were more than one bluebiggrin.gif . Most people in that laugh or say its a bit of a joke. Summed it up for me. Fuk no also summed up my feelings when i found out Pav was starting against Bolton.

    Shay Given

Everybody has weaknesses. The likes of Henry and Ronaldinho would be in the so called 'elite' group of footballers. But they have weaknesses. Its just that their strenghts overshadow their weaknesses most of the time. True. Buffon drifts in games, Casillas is shockingly inconsistent, Cech's kicking is poor, Van Der Sar is total dog shit for top corner shots, Lehman is a total cock and vastly over-rated anyway, Reina is pathetic in the air and Given's distribution is poor. All the worldclass keepers have their faults, i've just picked the glaringly obvious with each one. Ask a level-headed fan of each keeper and they'd point out even more.
  15. Olly's Back In Toon, 1st February 2007 Oliver Bernard sensationally rejoined Newcastle United late last night, just weeks after having his contract torn up due to fitness problems. Glenn Roeder is supposed to have made the u-turn on the Frenchman's future after discovering Wayne Bridge, who he'd been watching throughout the window, had already signed a new contract at Chelsea several months previously. Roeder stated: "We're delighted to have acquired the services of Bernard for the remainder of the season. He's a player of real quality and someone that will help propel us up the Premiership table" Bernard was unable to make a first team appearance during his last spell at the club, yet Glenn is confident he'll return to action in no time. Roeder said: "Unfortunately he's been wasting away since leaving the club and we'll have to fatten him up before he's ready to make an impact, but i'm optimistic he'll be in the squad to face Liverpool on the 10th"
  16. If at least one player isn't being paraded before the Manure match then this club has yet again let its fans down. Its had months watching the bodies drop to the floor, if plans are just starting now to bolster the squad then were fuked. I hate this fuking club, the way its run stinks. Fuk off you fat twatting cunt.
  17. Wouldn't want Barton tbh. Very average imo. Not sure if i would want him, am about 50-50 tbh, but the scenario was the main point, swapping Butt for another mid as i dont trust the club to replace his position quick enough.
  18. If we could part ex Butt for a similar mid player then yes, get rid. His value will only go down, but after this spell, and if he can keep it going, people may sit up and want to take him. If it knocks off ÂŁ1.5m off a transfer for Barton or Diop then i'd be happy parting with Butt.

    Pavel....Why?

Because Gabor Kiraly is a GREAT keeper. Kiraly, Walker, Kiely all keepers we could of loaned if we didn't have Pav, all better than him, all in and about the EPL. Pav was a joke for the 1st goal, people can blame Ramage as much as they like, but Pav looked like he hadn't played (indecision, bad judgment, flapping, no communication) in the EPL for several years... Oh shit, he hadn't
  20. Dokko

    Edgar

Even two more Ramage's would do me. It would mean we have back-up defenders for years to come, but i think Hunty looks a bit more intelligent than Ramage and may eclipse him in a couple of seasons, not sure about Edgar, didn't see the match. I just wish we could bring through a natural left back in the same quality as Ramage at centreback, if we could get a Taylor i'd be dancing.

    Edgar

Glad for the lad, haven't seen the match so can't comment on his performance but it sounds average, and thats ok for a debut away from home against Bolton in a makeshift team.
  22. Now I know we should never celebrate another injury but that is nothing but great news for the club Am certainly taking this horrific news on the chin.

No different from Man Utd fans a decade ago, or Liverpool fans a decade before that. Our turn next.
