We should look in Italy for decent sized strikers with aerial presence if were going to spend £10m on one. Am sure there will be some big German lads out there who fit the bill as well, breeding them tall these days over there, well they certainly are with CB's. There's simply NOTHING in the EPL that fits that mould. Beattie was just about there, but consistancy has made sure he's not a top performer now, and really, thats scraping the Barrel. They said Shearer was a dying breed, surely not? I think were just looking in the wrong Country.

Has anyone seen the bit on SSN's about it? Jesus. How embarrassing. '3 Cheers for Freddy Shepherd' In Proper navy drilled style shouts With Freddy not knowing where to look, slightly raising his hand and waving it embarrassingly like the Queen towards them, quickly glancing at the camera with the look of 'what the fuk is going on? am gonna look like a right dick now!' and trying to get away as fast as he can.

Poor fuker. Didn't his home nation not tell him either as it happened while he was away on international duty?
-
Rather have Yakubu.
-
Not worth more than £4m as a player. Your paying another £3m for his nationality, and another £2m for his age and uncertain future potential. I'd rather go for cheaper options upfront, loan deals from abroad, and some older experienced heads to help find the net.

Mint. Eyes are streaming after that. Love the 'cants'

Could that mean a return for Rafa?
-
You really reckon Rafa's position is under threat? Liverpool aren't a sacking club by nature, even if they were to be dumped out of the CL (highly unlikley) and we over took them by xmas( even more un likely), Rafa would still have the rest of the season from the board to turn it around.

"I'm rowing, I'm on the bike, I'm walking on an incline on the treadmill and I'm swimming so that is probably the case for another four weeks then we will start picking things up gradually" So he's fitter than Ameobi then.

hi i did a search of simular topics soz if its a simular topic , idd nt find that one ... anyway do you think say steven pressley would cut it in the premiership the captain of hearts hes a scottish international so hes goona be tough not sure of his age though hes wanting away from hearts .... No worries, we have a transfer thread daily on this place, it keeps us all from throwing ourselves off the Tyne bridge. Come 1st Feb 07, that bridge will be one busy place.

Imaging if one of the lads did that to you? I'd 1st off be devastated, then I'd knife them both. But imaging how you'd feel that know everyone knows about it, the whole nation, and you've got to be a goalie infront of baying away crowds every other game? Its bad enough being a keeper, nevermind when shit like this can be thrown at you. Lost your lass, your friends, and now public ridicule, poor cunt. Worst thing is, these friends have probably bummed off him all his career as well, not just his bitch of a missus.

Picks his games. Must be in need of a holiday. Agreed he regularly takes 3 - 4 weeks off injured if not suspended :red1: I've just figured it out. He suddenly gets 'injured' just when the new series of Lost is starting on Sky One. http://server3.uploadit.org/files/29Dokko-lostmichael.jpg Do we not pay him enough he needs two jobs?
-
Just out of curiosity, who is it? Maybe we have more than one, that would be a novelty.
-
Because he is pure shite and we need money to spend on other areas. We have at least 5 wingers that are better than Milner (Duff, N'Zogbia, Dyer, Solano, Alan O'Brien), surely that's enough cover He isnt pure shite though, he is a talented YOUNG player with a lot of potential, played some excellent football with Villa last season and has come back and been very average along with the players you have mentioned! Honest question has Duff put in more good games than Milner since he arrived? You say Alan O'Brien is better, have you seen anything of him or are you chatting shit again? Shit again...obviously. Our best winger at the moment is Zoggy and he's not been that great (limited chances, chopping & changing), and after that its a fair fight between Solano, Duff & Milner for next spot. O'Brien hasn't had game time, so how he can be better i do not know, and Dyer isn't a winger if he were fit enough to play two games in a row. Nevermind only Solano, Dyer & Milner are naturally right players ruling the rest out; Solano is on his last legs and you've got to forget about Dyer, meaning Milner is by default our best right winger, if not now, certainly next season without buying, but thats not the point, were loaded in his position

I doubt he was offered the job here.

All of it old rubbish thats been done a million times before, adding nothing new to the typical NUFC slating apart from this: 6) Is your idea of a good atmosphere to sit in brooding silence for minutes at a time, before bellowing like a moose in rutting season when the referee doesn't give you that vital throw-in at the halfway line? /\/\ Made me really laugh out loud.

I highly doubt it, try 50% of that sum.

He has a talent, it just doesn't work here. Worked wonders in Spain for several years.
-
Keegan as manager, Shearer as assistant, Speed, Lee & Barton as coaches. Along with Clark. About the only people we could realistically attract here, but if all of them were together, i reckon they'd make a decent go of it, better than current. If we still have any cred left past the Team Valley then Ranieri, Sven or some hotshot manager from South America that we've never heard of who wants to try his luck in Europe.
-
Loan him to Barca, hopefully he'll settle there, revive interest from other Spanish clubs as well as them and sell him for about £5m in the summer. Or swap loan him with Cassano. He needs to go back to his home, not hide his talent in a shit French division.

The current board have about 20 members of their family on the payrole, all bleeding the club dry of something like £10m a year. This would be gone, so the club realistically could make 10% of its worth per year even in this shit mess. So for the 1st 2/3 seasons you pump that money directly onto the field in sensible summer purchases and the after tat you start making your money.

There was talk that a fast route to money making was to move the ground. If the ground is developed into lodgings, the area is prime city centre. The ground could then be moved outside of the city to a cheaper location. Initially this costs a bit but city centre apartments are going to bring in money quickly, Its a possibility, and not completely debunked by the fact that the council own the land under St James. My local Rugby team (Llanelli Scarlets) are looking to move grounds, they are in debt of £39m and ther new stadium is costing £20m. The council own the land under Stradey park but the proposed deal wipes out the debt and covers the new stadium as the procedes of the land sale are strucutred to go to both parties. Remember the club owns the land over the metro station as well, this too could be developed I thought we DIDNT own the land? blueconfused.gif

And? Babayaro is shite, he deserves to be relegated, three times over imo.
