I see my (smug git face) 'United For Change' is picking up a few more supporters.
-
They must think they have a devine right to be challenging, omg, why don't they look at Nottingham Forest and then complain! They should be with the team, manager & setup they've got, but yet again summits not right.

Just been reading the Liverpool forums and it seems the natives are restless, almost as much as we are.

So your defence is now that we should keep him because getting rid will not change our immediate plight, your at the bottom of the barrel with reasons now. Good to know you're not bothered about our immediate plight, matey. Fact is, changing the Chairman would not get us out of the situation we are in right now, changing the manager for one who is capable probably would do. And you trust Shepherd to suceed in doing that? Not right now, given the Souness debacle before Roeder. But I'm sure you understand that changing the Chairman wouldn't automatically result in the arrival of a top class manager. Unless that's what you think? It would help. Most managers wouldn't touch us due to FS being our chairman, he's a laughing stock, and will use you to save his own neck at any time.

Gerrard doesn't like Rafa, and Rafa doesn't like to get to know the players that well. Gerrard said Rafa doesn't bother with any of them after training etc...Didn't even send a card of visit him for the birth of his child back in May. Now this is a problem if Gerrard is highlighting it, but the bigger concern is allowing Bellamy that much free reign. Fireworks will happen, you need a tight grip on your players, im just surprised nothing major has happened off field so far.

Wanted a break from football., Reckons he's recharged now and ready to return.
-
True, but he also left behind a rather weak team. Saying that, Dowie has been woeful in the players he's signed, and that hasn't helped. Smacks of desperation, knowing they were getting a worse manager in, so decided to throw money at him.
-
Would Parker be happy? They had a little clash (IIRC) when he left for Chelsea, although that was probably written off next time they saw each other. If true I'd hope he'd make a move for Young with Carr as part ex. If there is one team worse than us this season its Charlton, who i think are destined to go down with Dowie.

Sven. Not a fan, but at least the guy has brains and would bring in a whole new team of coaches. That would be a start, although it wouldn't take long before he's caught with his trousers down.

Jesus wept. You sound like a 13 year old Charva

Beckham would cost £5m max at his age etc...FS knows he'll make that money back from Asia within the year (Real made £20m off Beckham in his 1st season)

is that the sound of my heart breaking? no, just the binmen outside Its pathetic tbh. What a whinge.

I can see it happening. The only way Beckham will get back into the England team is if he comes back to England and does it in front of the public. Chelsea, Manu, Liverpool & Arsenal are all too big for him, and the clubs don't need him or his media attention. Newcastle & Spurs are the two teams i reckon will go for him in January, because if he doesn't move then, England is all over for Beckham. Not getting in the Real team is pushing him closer to a return to England, if we go for him, he'll be a flop, is Spurs do, he'll be a success and playing in the qualifiers in no time.

My problem is Charlton under him crumble every season at the end, which is where the trophies are won and lost. His team always gets off to a flyer, but for some reason he can't keep it going, he'd just bring in a new level of frustration.

Heard yesterday (in the pub off a guy who knows etc..) the TC left the club as he was forced to play Bernard in the reserves, and forced to break up a winning team. He didn't like the direct order, and in the end he was told Bernard will be playing whether he liked it or not as he needed fitness, so TC resigned. Take it with a grain of salt, but the comments seemed feesable and the only explanation I've heard worthy of consideration. I'm trying to figure out timings etc...but it seems it would fit.

They really have made a huge effort to show their not going to be a threat or cause trouble. A shame the damage is done, and most wont take the chance to go across. Hopefully all goes well, and it evens out what happened with the WHU fans.

I thought he was canny good at Juve. Got loads of stick though as people thought he was going to be the finished article after some great performances at his old club (cant remember, think Udinese). He was likened to a lot of great DMC's (i think at the time he was going to be the next Davids) you know how someone gets a label, but i think it was too much pressure in the heart of Juve's mid, but he still held his own, but was lampooned mainly for stray passes, and poor marking. Looked like he's regained his spirit though, and would deffo suit a move to the EPL. I's play him next to Parker, not very creative, but great for away games. How much would he cost? £4m?

Couple of years younger IIRC. (19)

He was out of contract, and am sure we have a high sell on fee. If not were daft. So were probably daft, not the 1st time bluebiggrin.gif Certainly wont be the last blueyes.gif

As entertaining as the EPL these days with so many big clubs desperate to return to £££ville. Not that i want to get over-friendly with it (if you know what i mean) but its a good distraction from our own shite performances week in week out in the top flight. Betting is great this year, i like to put a few £££'s on the weekends games, and this i suppose makes you take note a bit more, but there's been some suprises, and some gleeful moments. Sunderland's honeymoon is well and truely over (3pts out of the last 12 and 19th in the league). Keane is now finding the reality of the job in hand, and its not long until he kills someone. Birmingham arn't doing it (1pt out of the last 12), Gold & Sullivan are regretting the day NUFC forced them into signing bent nose on a 5-year deal to stop us poaching him! Hehe, a £10m contract, which he's not even half way through, nice pay off lads. Leeds Utd are 2nd bottom after their play-off defeat last season, which must still be stinging, imaging they dont pull it back round after all that hard work getting out of debt. Funny, i haven't seen a Leeds fan in about 2-3 years, lets keep it that way. But its nice to see Cardiff doing so well, epsecially with our own little Chopra firing them to the top of the league. Would be nice to see him in the EPL with another club, just to see if he can make it. Apart from them teams suprising in their own way, theres the dismal Norwich, who once looked so strong, theres Palace, Southampton, Wolves, WBA, all looking to return quickly so the league is looking very strong. That doesn't include the suprise teams, and the faded stars of yesteryear, i honestly think its harder to get in to the EPL than it is to stay in it these days. I would hate for us to be in this division thats for sure.
