  1. There you go. Do their opinions not matter? Sure more people have signed that petition in less than a day than are signed up members to NUST. Didn't say they didn't, but NUFC twitter is not even close to be representative of the fan base. Just ask anyone involved in any of the protest work be it Pardew, Ashley stuff, walk outs etc. What's NUST got to do with it? It’s a large enough group of people to be taken seriously And comparable in numbers to NUST, so should not dismissed or looked down upon. Some will also be members of NUST. People on here have called it pathetic, for me looking down upon fellow NUFC fans for venting their frustration in a calm manner is way beyond pathetic. I haven't. But I haven't signed it as I think it's a little dangerous asking for a solution now - if people want the takeover then we simply have to wait until the Premier League approve it. There are clearly incredibly complex issues they are considering. Pushing them to do it quicker - while unlikely to have any influence - if it did, would surely more likely result in a refusal and us being stuck with Ashley going forward? The NUST letter on behalf of their members might have no impact either, in fact it probably will not, but it was a very strong point by point legal rebuttal of some of the nonsense claims by Qatar re the WTO report and others that have written to the Premier League, undertaken by a specialist barrister from 3 Hare Court Chambers and was sent directly to Richard Masters by legal counsel. I haven’t signed it either, simply as I see no point in it. Those petitions don’t work, even for serious issues, so I don’t think it matters in terms of speeding things up, but clearly shows a united front of a group of supporters venting their frustrations in a better manner than we have done previously. Again, for me won’t make a difference. I’m all for the letter sent by NUST, I think it’s was a good reach out and not one done for the spotlight as others have done, backed up with not publishing the contents. So all in I agree mainly with what you say there, the thing I’m not comfortable with is the dismissal of 10k supporters voices as twitter noise, it’s more than that and the number should be respected by all NUFC fans considering it’s not even 24 hours. Ps, not sure how many voted in that poll where 97% wanted the takeover, but I’m sure it was also hosted on Twitter (might be wrong) Pps...just think what 5 twats with a coffin can do for your fans image a decade on, a petition is a good place to keep all that energy focused in one spot.
  2. Just brushed it off, not accountable at all is he? I’d have paid ushed him on this confidential process yet responding to letters from the fiancé.

  6. Nearly 10.5k have signed that petition. Just shows this place is not a true reflection on the feelings of fans.
  7. What a daft twat. No need for it, first minute or so, years later doing the same shite.
  8. Theres also the fact he might just need a half decent manager to get more out of him. Well I’ve said before, better players, better manager and Different position and we may see a different player. That’s my 1st choice with him, I’m for keeping him. I’d personally have him upfront with another striker for the rest of the season, see if we can get some goals out of him. If he could grab 3 or so goals before the end of season it’ll give him something to work with next.
  9. Be lucky to see £20m for him, especially now the market has burst, if it came in I’d snap their hands off. Best we could do is loan him out. I’d rather loan him inside of the uk so he can hopefully get used to football here. You’ll get teams who will offer a small fee to take him on the continent, with tall tales they’ll look to sign him without any real intention, but that doesn’t help us. Seems we fall for that quite often. I’d ask Boro if they want him next season, completely free of charge as long as he plays when fit.
  10. Joelinton is going nowhere. We’re stuck with him until he starts returning goals, even then we’d be lucky to see half of what we paid.
  11. I most certainly did NOT say the PL would not take notice of us throwing tantrums. I was saying it would have no positive effect for us. Like the child screaming for sweets, you're just increasing your chances of going home with nothing. Fucking change petitions. Fucking hell. We're turning into the mackems. The mackems have sat from the sidelines while their club slides towards administration. Their inaction helped cause this. Happy to boo from the stands and leave after 20mins, but they do fuck all else but moan about it on rtg and in the pub. Ashley has done a very good job on a number of fans who have ended up like them. Liverpool on the other hands helped take their owners to high court and battled for years, theyve finally got their reward. This. I’m still utterly ashamed at those fans who shouted at the stadium boycotters while eating their prawn sandwiches Oh, I'm a million percent behind a stadium boycott. But not a change petition to the PL to let the takeover go through, or whatever it says. It just a tantrum. Fucking stop. They're making a decision, this is just embarrassing and not likely to do anything other than alienate us to them. It’s just fans venting frustration. Am I going to sign? No. But it’s doing no harm, it’s showing that we’re fucking pissed off since we don’t have a voice anywhere else right now and direct letters to the PL aren’t being auto replied to, again fucking people off. Nowhere near as embarrassing at mock funerals and for me several levels below allowing your club to fall apart so you don’t appear magesque, leading to 3 seasons in league 1.
  12. Should have left when offers were coming in for him instead of holding out for prem football with us. Needs to leave to a promotion chasing team, for good this time. I think though if he’d played as much as Joelinton he’d have 4 times as many goals than him.

  14. What’s the punishment for forfeiting games these days? Asking for a friend.
  15. Funny how everyone (Media) was so concerned at the start the our club is going to be used for sports washing, yet the ones that have used us are the PL to settle scores in the Middle East and get a better grip on their IP. Not once have we been considered in all this by the PL and not once have anyone in the media pointed out how badly used the club has been during the process. They couldn’t care who owns us, what they do with us, whether they owners abuse the fans loyalty or milk the club dry. All they are concerned about is themselves, their product and how much more money they can bring in for themselves.
  16. Absolutely not a rejection means I’m finished for good. What do you think this club looks like post rejection, with less money and an even less interested owner ? Though I’ve flagged at times, my resolve for this to happen has not diminished one bit. There is no club worth supporting post rejection in my opinion. I said that after last summer, yet here I am. I totally walked away from football for several months as well, my longest spell since a kid, but needed this place for other reasons and ended up back in. Not as in as I was (which has been slowly dying over the last decade) but still in. This takeover has got my going again and it will be a crushing blow. I don’t think the PL would be arsed if you walked away, they wouldn’t be arsed if we all walked away and we folded as there is another club ready to take our place, and it’s this arrogance from them which sees them treat fans with such contempt. That aside, the club will be sold this year, Ashley wants out, I do believe other buyers are ready, but they’ll all be less favourable than this one in terms of finance and will come with lots of stipulations, including leaving Ashley’s cancerous claws lodged in to our spine. Really it depends if that version is enough for you or not, it probably is for me once the disappointment of this one subsides.

  18. I’d take a rejection at this point just so we can move on. I’m starting to wonder if that’s what the PL plan is. Make us all sick and tired of waiting so long we just want it over with. Bit like brexit fatigue, in the end many remainders were so sick and tired of it all they just wanted it to end and push it through. PL have seen it can work for something as big as that then why not a takeover? PS - 2 weeks now since Miguel Delaney voiced his opinion on us, but he hasn’t been told off or owt.
  19. Fuck it, not wasting my life watching this shite. Good luck everyone.
  20. I think the crowd noise guy has fell asleep. Just a loop.
  21. ‘Can’t string two passes together’ has taken on a new meaning for me today.
  22. Mind, if we break with asm on the ball he could quite easily have a free half to run in.
