We all loved him when he arrived. It was what he symbolised more than anything else, Rafa finally getting a top target. He made a difference as he got fans off their seats, and then the end product didn’t matter, it would come. Over a Year later we’re still waiting. He doesn’t really have a position to claim as his own which doesn’t help, but I think he’s been lucky that Joelinton has come in, took his record signing tag with millions to spare and flopped hard from the off. Joelinton also symbolises the very opposite of him as a transfer, one forced on to the manager by the board just no one cares as the manager is Steve Bruce and we all think he deserves it. So for me almiron is a lucky boy to have escaped more intense criticism, especially the diving and play acting.

Loads of pace and a good level of technical skills but mentally he’s not even championship. His work rate and the ground he covers is vital for this team. After we signed him last season he changed the side and were 7th in almost every department since his debut. And I wouldn't expect any attacking player to he prolific in a Steve Bruce side. To suggest he's been a 'terrible' signing is utterly mental. He'll be Coutinhos backup next season Jesus. Imagine if so and when Coutinho doesn’t play and we go from that level of creativity to running about a bit at high speed. Tbf I’m purposely going out on him, just reached my limits with him today. Hopefully he shuts me up 2nd half.
