Very. Although this is the first piece of news which has any sort of proof whatsoever that this is happening. It's very positive news, all looks very relaxed. My take on this would be that maybe over the last few weeks the deal has been on the verge of collapse and the whole fist pumping on the way out means that everyone is now back at the table. Probably a lot of work to do before a deal ever takes place. But this could possibly indicate that PCP, or Staveley or whoever is behind the deal doesn't have nearly as much cash as we or Rafa would want to seriously make a massive impact. Maybe this group are going to be part investors alongside Ashley? (Until they have the cash to buy him out completely) Hope it falls through, Odin will be gutted if it doesn't.

That's a very good shout to be honest, probably more movement to a final deal in last nights curry and pint than weeks of legal/financial teams working on it. Absolutely. The team have got it close enough to have an informal face to face, now it's all about the key characters doing business. It's Ashley's setting, he chose this and it looks like both parties left with smiles on their faces... Certainly no anamosity between them. All go imo.. Mcouldnt have asked for better news bar confirmation.

I don't see how tbh. People aren't going to come to Sunderland because some committee said it's the capital of culture this year, beating the likes of Stoke and Swansea. There is nothing there a medium sized town can't offer and probably do a lot better due to location. It also seems like they are forever trying to win this and failing, surely it's costing a lot of money which could ha e been spent elsewhere. Again just like their football fans they are desperate for some recognition from outsiders, that they matter, that they focus on this rather than actually trying to create new culture and win it by simply making a difference to the UK.

Wow Moyes would be hung for that.

Remember Ashley agrees on deals over a pint or a curry... It's how he does business. This is really positive, I'd say we're done and it'll be announced tomorrow or later today. Looked like Amanda was taking a bottle home to celebrate as well.

Entitlement... What a gigantic fanny The bid will do more harm than good if it rattles on in to Jan with our hands tied, especially if it falls through. What a way to try and start your tenure. Entitlement

Just offer him £300m and stop jeopardising the future of the club. It's no different to low balling to sign players then running out of time as the window closes. Sounds like frying pan in to the fire. £300m is more than fair offer and you wouldn't need clauses if you've got the window to make changes goes in.

Feel slightly sorry for him but from reports of fans in his area he's got in to them states several times and people have had goes at him. Not that he remembers any of it. 50/50 that you'd find him slumped asleep in his chair for most of the game. Kid has issues.

Are you defending this fellas actions? He was probably off his tits on ket as well there is absolutely f*** all vunerable about him. The fella should be hung out to dry and put on the sex offenders list for exposing himself in a family environment and around children Vunerable ? There were a few comments claiming he has some sort of problems. That's quite a claim.

Is Hardy as close to Rafa as Wraith was to the Krays? Doesn't take much to write a book on someone, does it?

Needs Elliot and Colback to complete the dream team.

Gayle against tired legs would be even better once mitro has been at them. No point in starting him at Chelsea though... It's unfair as hell mot get a sniff and be called worse than shit.

I'd be happy with 5pts from those games. Delighted in fact. Would keep us on track for a 40pt season.

We'll lose the next 4, possibly 5, no doubt we're in big trouble and on an epic losing streak. Could easily hit double figures. Edit make that 6. Possibly beat Brighton at home on the 30th December...lose the rest.
