  1. Liked the part where he was calling palace 'we' but when mentioning their losses this season calling palace 'you' Anyway that's the first and last time I'll sit through a Pardew interview this year and no doubt forever. Feels good man, feels good.
  2. Reckons he took every club forward including us bar Charlton.
  3. He's not a manager, he's a good coach not manager. Of course he's a manager. He's a good coach which is part of being a good football manager, but that doesn't mean he's not a manager.
  4. If you went English really there's only two men you'd even come close to considering, one is McClaren the other Howe. Both have serious question marks above them. Surely Ashley understands this head coach thing works better on the continent than it does here, we've a great opportunity for getting this right, I just think Ashley will want to make the same mistakes as he always does and have it his way.
  5. Imagine the fucker survives on the last day putting Sunderland down. How conflicted would we all be
  6. I hope he keeps them up, then has no excuses when he takes them down the season after. You just know he'll hide behind the half a season thing and live off that. A full season and a summer window to himself and he'll rip the guts out the club.
  7. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/30660374 Fucking crazy man, was only playing a game and having a laugh.
  8. His contract is as long as Pardew's was. He'd have to sign a new one to make him manager, and his current one is a coaches wage. Not exactly rocket surgery to work out he's in a much weaker position.
  9. Even if carver is given it, this time next year he'll be gone. He could drag us over the finish line but when he starts the season like Pardew did it'll all fall apart and there won't be a massive contract to protect him. In all honesty I see this going two ways, we get the right man and slightly improve before Ashley sells us, or we hire 2-3 managers in the next year and totally fuck things up.
  10. Spoke to about a dozen and they are all gutted.
  11. Tuchel looks like a photocopier salesman, I hope the book is better than the cover should come here.
  12. Look in a different set of circumstances it could have been different, I wish it was but in the end he left here worth nothing to anyone. Now that's backed up by the fact no one decent would go anywhere him and certainly not pay us money for him. He's massively damaged goods, he's a crushed up Ferrari at the bottom of the sea.
  13. Thanks fuck for that. Now let's go get a real manager.
  14. Can't believe we turned down tens of millions to instead mutually terminate his contract, along with him turning down the top brass in Europe to go semi retire in nice. Like I said, worthless. We may have got some kind of return in the summer just gone, but no chance anyone would pay for him in this shit state. You can blame Pardew as much as you like but I'd imagine Colo had more influence on whether he played for us again.
  15. He's worthless that's why. Might as well get his wages off the books. Not if the new manager wants him His value is zero. You asked why Ashley doesn't sell him, the answer is he's worth nothing. Out of contract in the summer, clubs abroad can talk to him now, hasn't played regularly for almost a year and has serious question marks over his mental state. Giving him away is about the best when can hope for, we may even have to pay part of his wages to get the move away.

  17. I'd love a Geordie in charge, unfortunately there aren't any even close enough in quality to be considered, and really that extends to most English managers as well. It's got to be foreign.
  18. Alan Pardew is expected to be confirmed as Crystal Palace boss in due course - and will start work on Friday morning. The Londoner was in the crowd at Villa Park for the 0-0 draw between Aston Villa and the Eagles today. And his start date was confirmed by caretaker Keith Millen, who said “I think so, I don’t think he would have been at the game if there was a problem, he wouldn’t have been sitting in the stands. “We are preparing for Alan to come in tomorrow to start working. “We have a big game against Dover on Sunday so we have to get our heads around that one. “I kept the lads in the know from what I knew from the chairman. “Before the game when we left the hotel we weren’t sure but then I got a message to say Alan was coming.” But Pardew has yet to meet his new team. Millen said: “He didn’t have any input during the game or before but he came in after and was pleased and proud with what he saw. “He said we need to add more to our game to score more goals and win football matches but it’s a good start for Alan to see us.’’ No going back really, why they are taking so long to announce it is beyond me.
  19. To be then loaned back to Chelsea.
  20. They can't sign replacements so why would they let us have them back. Even if we threw money at them they couldn't use it to replace them They've got a good keeper on the bench and Lascelles has been in and out the squad all season. We could also loan them Elliot & another player back (maybe a better position for them instead of cb where they have better competition than us). A deal could be done, and should be at this rate. Give them Alnwick and loan them Gouffran Give them Elliott and loan them Bigi & Armstrong. Surely something can be arranged.
