  1. Rivière should be stoned to death at full time.
  2. Rivière must be the worst player to have ever played for us in this division.
  3. Van Gaal says they are going to try to thrash Hull today. In case Araenal lose
  4. Is it true what Keegan said about the finance executives leaving?
  5. Allardyce isn't getting a new contract for next season. He just cba
  6. I do think Charnley, Carver and maybe even Coloccini are all goners in the summer. I have little hope we have a plan in place with relegation especially if first off we have to replace those three to proceed with any plan. We lucked out last time because we had Hughton and Nolan because we really didn't have a plan. If we get relegated, I'd expect competent players sold, the useless or gutless ones left, Barry Leach as chief exec and Dave Watson as manager. Horrible stuff.
  7. They won't appoint Carver. Last time we got too close to danger, Ashley forced Llambias out and brought in Kinnear. He will react to this season, and there are no long terms contractual commitments to the manager this time. What? Were you somewhere isolated from the world such as the Amazon, Antartica or the Big Brother House two years ago or something? Charnley and Carver are goners.

    Alan Shearer

Sherwood, Le Saux and Mike Newell don't look much different today.
  10. Was he talking about the fans? I thought he meant he was getting favourable traffic lights all week...
  11. They just announced they were fully committed a couple of days ago The panic will just get worse now. And if Carver has a breakdown.....
  12. The panic after this game could be interesting. Wouldn't yet rule out a new manager for last two games even if it's Steve Stone in order to get Carver out.
  13. Aye absolutley nothing to do with us having ONE fit defender in the squad other than him....... Carver was picking Sterry ahead of Satka recently.
  14. Can't you just tell your wife and neighbour that you've gone but go somewhere else instead?
  15. Clearly must be doubts over Dummett if Satka is on the bench having previously been overlooked in favour of full backs at centre back.
  16. At least we have our best centre back today (Dummett)

I think we have been handed a slither of hope that we could be able to exploit. England have been given a bonus fair play place in the league. West Ham have a very slender lead for this spot. If that slender lead still exists going into the final game we could be playing a team with orders not to foul anyone, it would give us the competitive edge if we were savvy enough to use it.
  18. Now you mention it, Carver and Jesus have the same initials, maybe he is Jesus? Hold on, my initials are JC too, maybe I'm the Newcastle manager. Would explain a lot...

    Lee Charnley

Maybe the fans need to shout Ni at Mike Ashley and LeeCharnley until they get us a decent playing squad, a competent manager, and........ A SHRUBERRY!
  20. I don't want to get relegated as I think we got very lucky last time that the remnants of the team were the best to drag us out as we had: Genuine leaders more than good enough for the division (Nolan) Internationals at their peak (Jonas, Coloccini) Good up and coming players (Enrique) And a Youngster who started to show his potential (Carroll) Also due to wages and transfer fees we were not vulnerable to bids for these players. And we used the loan market well. And we had a good man manager in charge. Today we have very few players who fulfil the above, and those that do, e.g Perez and Sissoko are vulnerable to bids. I also have little faith in the boards ability to make good transfers this time. Who can for get Marlon Harewood and khinishivilli

Spot on. Football club management strategy straight out of Monty Python: Bridgekeeper: Stop. Who would cross the Bridge of Death must answer me these questions three, ere the other side he see. Sir Lancelot: Ask me the questions, bridgekeeper. I am not afraid. Bridgekeeper: What... is your name? Sir Lancelot: My name is Sir Lancelot of Camelot. Bridgekeeper: What... is your quest? Sir Lancelot: To seek the Holy Grail. Bridgekeeper: What... is your favourite colour? Sir Lancelot: Blue. Bridgekeeper: Right. Off you go. Sir Lancelot: Oh, thank you. Thank you very much. [Crosses the bridge] I can just imagine Remi Garde's interview now: Charnley: What s your name? Garde: Remi Garde of France Charnley: what is your quest? Garde: to manage Newcastle Charnley: what is your favourite colour Garde: Blue! No! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!

    John Carver

No one is even brave enough to put their name on that statement.

    John Carver

Meant Ryan Taylor. I'm using age and respect as a yardstick but for the purpose of highlighting that Jonas is by far the best candidate for caretaker of those at the club.

Saying it over and over doesn't make it any less stupid. But what are the intelligent alternatives. Appointing a new manager would be preferable but we have gone beyond the point of no return there. So we need to look within ourselves. As far as I see it, the shortlist is the coaches: Stone Beardsley Watson Or the senior players: Colo Taylor Jonas What is the obvious choice.
