  1. I know I said it in the heat of the moment, but I really do feel he could become one of the worlds great players. Not Messi or Ronaldo level, and probably not the next tier (Suarez, Rodriguez, Bale), but definitely in the next tier of say Totti, Del Piero.
  2. Nah any winger worth signing should expect to play ahead off Aarons which is not positive. Sammy is good enough back up.
  3. Nah Cabaye was only 4x really. This guy looks like 10x
  4. We could be witnessing the emergence of one of the worlds greatest players here!
  5. I liked the look of the Perez and Cabella link up last week, definitely need to see them in the pitch together for at least some period. Also I am intrigued that he is seen as an attacking midfielder in Spain, and he looked quite nifty when with the ball out wide last week. I would probably go for the following front 6: Abeid Sissoko Perez Cabella Aarons Cisse Gives us the opportunity to play 442, 4231 and 433
  6. Great news. Hope he can get back to doing what he loves doing
  7. What should not be ignored is that in Spain he won the award for best attacking midfielder, not best striker.
  8. Although you could argue that Cabella coming on when he did completely turned the game. Liverpool had looked like they were getting a foothold and it was a nice option to have from the bench for once.
  9. Other than injuries there is no justification for him to even make the bench now.

    Rolando Aarons

Today it felt like I was watching Kieron Dyer when he first emerged in 1999.
  11. Only disappointment for me was that lucky save from Mignolet off Cabella
  12. Marveaux would never get near today's team! We started Sammy Ameobi and Gabriel Obertan ffs Marveaux is a poor winger though. He'd be up against Sissoko and Cabella who are way better.
  13. If you count Perez, we used 7 players out of our development squad too today as well!
  14. I feel like I'm just as likely to see Ferreyra play for NUFC as I am to see my current FM14 front 4 at NUFC of El Shaarawy, Lukaku, Ferreyra and Ozil play for NUFC.
  15. Probably worthwhile selling Anita, promoting Abeid, and using the money on more lacking areas of the squad.
  16. I will be watching the game from Maine Road tonight. Might go and plant a Newcastle scarf in the centre circle pre match
  17. Cultured composed centre back, great on the deck, cuts out a chance before anyone else even sees it and then folly and composedly carries the ball out of the defence.
  18. My question is this: Could he get to the point, where say for the 2016/17 season he has given Rangers so many bailouts that he owns Ibrox, rights to the club crest, clubs name, all the saleable assets. Then using the Milton Keynes/Wimbledon precedent, tries to rename NUFC as Sports Direct Rangers and moves the club to Ibrox? And then let the real Rangers die? Please can someone reassure me that he can't do that?
  19. What, like nut an opposition player? More likely he says something Ashley doesn't like. E.g he might say: "I thought in the summer we woz distracted by Rangers". That is the sort of thing we need!
  20. Here is the bad news, if you assume that the club give Pardew a blank slate at the start if every season, the last few games have added a completely different slant to it all. I could see the following being the clubs thoughts: Only three defeats - one against the league winners, at Southampton whom have traditionally thrashed northern teams at home (even Man U), and a Monday night in Stoke. Three home draws we should expect to win, although against Villa it was our first home match and it isn't unusual for any club to have a goalless draw at the start of the season. Palace, we were unlucky to concede in the last minute. Hull, the club did well to come back from 2 down amidst all the adversity. Drawing with Swansea away could in isolation be seen as a good result. And then we have two wins. So although I completely disagree with the above perception, I'm sure the club board could argue that form is average and improving, and our biggest issue was failure to turn draws at home to wins so far, which isn't a huge crime after just a few games. Pardew is going nowhere, unless he does or says something stupid.
  21. IMO if we lose now we are down regardless of managerial change. So despite wishing defeat for the past month going to hope for a lucky win that does nothing to alleviate the pressure.
  22. To be honest we don't need players to be Geordie to become thorough black and white. Countless players have come to the club, some for the playing opportunity, some for the challenge, and some because we offered the most money. But once they have arrived here they fall in love with the club and become proper black and white in my eyes. Keegan, McDermott, Quinn, Dabizas, Solano, Ketsbaia are all proper black and white today. In fact that is probably something else that is wrong with Pardew as he has never been able to tap into this and make the current crop of players 'get' the club like the past generations have.
  23. I think the club crest that he is trying to get is the potentially most valuable thing to him. He underwrites the loan, he gets the club crest, gambles that rangers will repay the loan. He then has royalties for any merchandise bearing the rangers logo. I'd imagine that those royalties are worth a lot over several years.
  24. If all results stay the same and man city win I get £160
