Although I do like the look of Debuchy, I do think that in general full backs and hard working wingers - especially flank running types have an earlier average age of peak and decline than most positions, and Debuchy is slap bang in the middle of this period. it would seem that the perception of football fans in particular liverpool fans probably led to the mistaken belief that this was another hooliganism incident. the way the stadium was set up, the way the police reverted to hooliganism prevention protocols, and the way the tragedy was investigated by police and media shows that while completely in the wrong, people did at the time believe it was the fans fault.

The families deserve their justice, a lot of things went wrong as shown in mcgoverns documentary. however other Liverpool fans have to stop using the hillsborough victims as a stick to beat people with whenever they hear anything they don't like. also when shouting out against conspiracy by politicians police and the media Liverpool fans must remember that their own behaviour in the 80s made the mud stick and perhaps prevented quick action and or justice.
