I'm not too bothered tbh. If we had a decent owner who just needed to earn money for the club, I'd definitely be all for it as it is just a way of getting cash. The reality is that the stadium can be renamed, but no-one can stop the fans and the media from calling the stadium by its real name of SJP. My only real misgivings would be related to the permanancy of the deal. This money is unlikely to reach the club in terms of transfers, so if it was permanent I'd be worried that someone else couldn't sell it in the future, and I'd be worried that it could increase the cost of any future new stadium if it involves having to pay off the sponsor for breach of contract.

And then we find that he left NUFC to his son or Colonel Gadaffi or Osama Bin Laden, or the worst case: Derek Llambias.

In the past, all managers from all top clubs have been entitled to much much more compensation, and slipping that clause in seems like a typical Ashley rejection of regular football practices (see transfer installments). The reality is that not many managers would agree to that clause, and the fact that this particular clause was being challenged by LMA lawyers could have also been a trigger for Ashley to reject the idea of a permanent managerial appointment, especially due to its perceived cost if the new owners didn't want the current manager.

Clause 14.8.1 in KK's contract could explain the real reason for the club's failure to secure the services of a permanent manager.
