Apparently because he is a player on the bench, Ritchie is allowed to be in the pitch until moments before KO and leads the last minute press exercises, which we are then actioning from minute one. If true he is invaluable.

We are going to be in Europe and want to compete for every cup. Trippier is already knackered

he is basically doing what he was doing in Australia, but in a higher level league against higher level opponents. if a manager in Australia doesn’t think he is ready yet, how far down the leagues does he have to go. he is now training with a higher quality first team, we’ve kept him close to us and probably having his own training plan to get him up to speed. He is 18 FFS

Couple of really incredibly thick posts above. He only started a very small number of games in the A-League as deemed not physically ready. Yet people are throwing their toys out as he isn’t starting the game in a much tougher league less than one month later.

he’s at the point of his career that he needs to be starting 15 games a season. He won’t get that at West Ham or Chelsea, but if he’s good enough he will here

Bet Rafa has watched all our games, twice, partly as he will be so impressed with Howe, and partly in case someone wants to ask him for his informed position on how we are doing.

He’s not an elite player but I’m accepting that we are still at a stage where we will sign an eclectic bunch of players and of all the PIF signings to date he is slap bang on the middle ability wise. However his style of play and the fact that he plays in our weakest position in LW I am extremely confident that the defences that managed to contain us recently will be completely rattled and scattered by this addition once he is up to speed. Then we can sell him to Chelsea for double the price in two years time.

I’d say Longstaff is in the top 3 players most likely to still be here in three seasons time. He won’t be a starter, but he will be here.

Joelinton isn’t a left winger we are just muddying through in that position as Murphy is too inferior and ASM is too thick. it’s the weak link in the team that we need to fix

ASM was in my opinion player most at fault for the Pope save, a really heavy pass back to Botman under pressure. His football IQ is just too low which is why he won’t be around much longer.

Mid table teams are now parking the bus against us at home. this is just another stage of our progress
