Almost every player at NUFC will have something wrong with them, be it Martins inconsistency, Butt or Geremi's physical ability, N'Zogbia being all potential. With Viduka, we have a player who despite the injuries and lack of pace/fitness will earn us key goals and win us matches when he does play.

Look at it this way: Viduka + Shola out, Derdiyok in = £3.5m transfer fees plus £3.64m saved wages Smith + Shola out, Derdiyok in = £6.5m transfer fees plus £2.86m saved wages What is better?

Why don't you pull out some pointless statistic to prove your case if it is then? If I wanted, I could pull out a comparison of win percentages with and without Viduka. The difference between the two would imply that Viduka has an impact on results on the pitch, and is therefore worth keeping.

Well for Taylor, what he wants means that we are paying him £1m more per season, while he initially wanted an extra £2m a season supposedly. These things take time, what with the club having to decide what they can afford, and Taylor's agents working out if they can get more from somewhere.

Harry - Keegan spoke on BBC Radio Newcastle this morning to say that he wouldn't be bringing anyone in before the end of July, he doesn't want to pay wages for players who aren't playing - looks like you'll have to wait! Did he really say that? Pretty sure he didn't.
