    Dyer's replacement

You're saying you've strung together some random comments made by different people and you make it look as if you're saying it. Then you wonder what is funny about it. OK. No, I'm saying that other people can voice the same opinions without being laughed at. A lot of people are being very forgetful and fickle methinks, now he's likely to leave.

    Dyer's replacement

Its on one of the World videos, but haven't got the time to look at them all. Check out Hartlepool post match though - it is clear that Allardyce rates him extremely highly.

    Dyer's replacement

 The first two sentences were said by Allardyce himself last week. The third sentence is the general consensus of the forum. The second paragraph gathers that info, saying we will therefore have to reshuffle instead of replace. So what is so funny about that?

    Dyer's replacement

Kieron Dyer is irreplacable. There is no other player in the world that has his high speed ball control. Dyer has not benefitted from being forced to play in rigid formations under recent management, and a departure would be a very very very bad career move. He is an asset Sam won't want to lose, I don't want to lose, but it will allow us to reshuffle and play a more conventional formation more effectively.
  5. Depends on the opposition, the oppositions tactics, the state of the game, the tactics being used by us, the other players on the pitch for us. In other words, in some situations, a rejuvenated Duff or N'Zogbia may provide the best option on the left with Milner or Solano on the right, but at other times, playing Milner on the left would be the best option. I'm expecting more dynamic team selections on the flanks than what was seen under Roeder.
  6. I thought you two are meant to be best mates? Or has this happenned: http://www.newcastle-online.com/nufcforum/index.php?topic=43131.0 ?
  7. I really disagree with the statement that you are 'NUFC's finest supporter.' NUFC's finest supporter wouldn't need to spend so much time trying to discredit others support.
  8. Lets not get carried away just yet! 1 swallow n all that, although encouraging to hear he got a couple. What was the performance like> I'm just stirring, that article came up on the BBC's match report. Typical Luque really, although he was much better off the ball in the attacking third, give him space and he'll always have the attacking technique.
  9. New Signing? http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/n/newcastle_united/4165124.stm
  10. Played up front. Had a properly numbered outfield shirt, the lot. Excellent! Did he enjoy it? Surly SSNs will show that! It was a perfect layoff by Harper that led to Milner scoring the fourth.
  11. Yeah looks like he can play the ball around. Bit worried about the high line we have been playing but its early days. I'm just worried about Ramage and Carr.
  12. I guess the World coverage is just an advert for Setanta.
  13. Cant say much from pre season, but this is our best pre season performance I've seen in a long time.
  14. Working fine for me. " Yeah, its back for now, but was down earlier for 10-15 mins. Will be interesting to see if they cope.
  15. The Official Site has crashed. I am of the opinion that no-one will get to see the match on World tonight.
  16. He has a fully season's worth of it iirc. 2 seasons iirc.

    Penalty Taker?

Yes, back on topic, the better the taker, the lower the likelihood that they'll be on the pitch in my opinion.

    Penalty Taker?

Middlesbrough Aston Villa Leverkusen Belgrade Just four off the top of my head that he's saved against. 4 in ten years is crap though.

    Clark leaving?

I'm kind of with GeJon here, Lee Clark wanted to be a coach since his early twenties, while other players were wasting their millions in the afternoons, Lee Clark was voluntarily helping to coach the kids, and trying to pick up tips from other coaches. Given the fact that he has also captained a Premiership club, hence assummed leadership qualities, he was certainly a better candidate than Gareth Southgate and Chris Coleman than when they started their non-player careers. However, I am disappointed with some of the comments regarding other players that have been attributed to him when off the training pitch, so I'm happy to see him go.
  20. Thats really not why the top clubs play teams in Asia. Money as well of course, but they get less injuries, and are still well equiped for the start of the season.
  21. To be honest, that is why the top clubs play the more technical and less aggressive teams from Asia, Scandinavia and the US, and not Carlisle United during pre-season.
  22. It was the general consensus at the end of last season that single threads were the way forward. It certainly worked ok for the Hartlepool game. Opinions may have changed now, but I suggest we stick to single threads for pre-season at least, give it a try and all that.
  23. I suspect we'll be trying lots of different combinations.
