Smith offers similar attributes to Bellamy apart from pace in my opinion. I remember not a lot of people were happy with Bellamy for £6m - look how that turned out.

On the downside though, if we don't get the required defenders before then, we'll still concede a fair few goals and he'll still get points taken off even if he's not playing there. Dyer is being sold for £6m I think that recoups majority of the Elano fee should we decide to go in for him. When it comes to affording players, I think Ashley will invest a fair share into transfer fees aswell. Any money we get from Dyer will probably go back into the defence.
