You mean lampard? Yeah I did, think Motson shouted Carrick so I typed it
-
Name another player who can scare Carles Puyol shitless by running forward through the centre from the midfield to the attack.
-
I'd totally overhaul the England side for a few matches. Foster G Neville Woodgate Ferdinand Bridge Lennon Barton Hargreaves Barry Dyer Rooney Keep Gerrard and Lampard out of the team for a while. Will make them more fired up to play for England long term in my opinion.
-
I'm saying that swapping Shevchenko for Dyer would be a good move for both teams.
-
A deal in my opinion which could benefit both clubs. Chelsea need a player who can bring some speed and fluidity linking the centre of midfield to both the strikers and the advanced wingers. Dyer is that man, and would be selected just behind Drogba, with Shevchenko making way. Then you get Schevchenko at Newcastle, one of the best strikers in the world, being allowed to play his natural game with support from Martins, Milner, Solano, Duff or N'Zogbia.
-
What could have happenned if Sven chose to play Dyer up front instead of Vassell vs Brazil in 2002?
-
I think Simon Jordan said that Shepherd once phoned him when he was trying to hang onto Johnson immediately after Palace's relegation, and told Jordan to stick with his stance of telling the other clubs to fuck off.
-
I have heard rumours in the past that Shepherd makes agreements with rivals not to bid above certain prices, but that he once apparently broke this promise when we tried to sign Rooney.
-
I hope this is true. I hope this is not true. Would rather Martins got banned for the rest of the season than have a sick mother (unless it's a cold of course).
-
In the end of the day, Shearer has won the Premiership and holds the record for the most Premier League goals. He is well in his right to criticise any player he likes, its not as if it is some small time player like Gavin Peacock who has been laying on the criticism.
-
Some of you really do not appreciate the full value of Stephen Carr's role at the club. He keeps Terry Mac happy by laughing at his jokes.
-
Problem with the stats though thinking about is that due to numerous simulataneous injuries, they cant prove whether it is down to that individual player being missing, or whether another player being on the pitch is bringing their win-ratio down. Offers more proof for who should play than who shouldn't play in my opinion.
-
Good work, must have taken a lot of effort. Celestine Babayaro 10 - 50% - 10% - 40% This backs up my claim that we play better with Baba in my team. He has his faults, but we are better going forward when he is on the pitch.
-
Were you at the match you mong. If you weren't you have no relevent opinion. I was at the match and he was fucking shite[/gemmill]
-
Worth pointing out that the 'Nobby Solano' chants were aimed at Nobby Solano who was warming up right in front of Putney, and not necessarily as a chant to get him onto the pitch as others have suggested, although there may have been a dual-purpose.

Bramble at less than £4m would be a dream for any decent man-manager who likes to discipline his players.
-
Usual Newcastle United defensive arrangement there, Bramble was the charger, Onyewu was the sweeper.
-
Carr was at left back. Knowing about someone's aerial prowess isn't enough to prevent it.
-
It wasn't a great goal for the television, just one of the best goals I've seen in the flesh, with Martins showing an excellent mix of pace, strength and composure.
-
I felt there were a couple of moments reminiscent of Taylor's debut against Bolton when he allowed himself to be outmuscled out of an aerial challenge. Another ref might have let McBride off, and Fulham would have scored. Although to be fair, McBride is meant to be the strongest striker in the Prem.
-
Was a great goal by Martins, it has to be said. Made the rest of the second half slightly bearable.
-
He was a little bit shaky in the air, although it was against McBride. For 89 minutes, Bramble was the better player throughout, although Onyewu did well enough, and passed the ball around well.
-
Martins was well pissed off with Steve Harper today. Goal kick after goal kick, if Haper had played it long and wide six seconds earlier, Martins would have had an opportunity to break forwars.
-
Throw-ins aren't something you can really notice on television, but today, with the full pitch in sight, it was obvious to me that: a) Stephen Carr was going to throw it to Butt about five seconds before he threw it. b) He took so long to throw it that pretty much everyone was being marked by the time he got round to it. c) His best option was a long throw down the line, which he looked at for several moments, before obviously deciding that he couldn't be bothered.
