  1. Greg, have the NUST given any thought towards reporting or at least highlighting BEIN for possible corruption after their statement regarding cutting future TV payments and other shady concerns. These concerns aren’t getting adequate attention either from the authorities or the media. It’s a bit late to raise these things after the event.
  2. To be honest I always thought the Saudi bid was £34 based on a 5% deposit of £17m
  3. Plus Qatar already have a club representing them in Man City who would probably be their main focus, not us. It’s PSG mate, not Man City. City are owned by Abu Dhabi, who are a Saudi ally against Qatar (and Iran) Abu Dhabi is a city. UAE. Ha. Yep, my mistake. Brain not engaged properly. I meant UAE. No you were right first time, Dubai and Abu Dhabi are autonomous Emiratis. UAE is more a country of convenience.
  4. Interesting. It will also be interesting to read what that football law twitter account has to say as he said he's doing a write up on the WTO report which will be out done by tomorrow. Case in point, whilst these guys know more about the law than you and I, international trade law is a very niche subject and I wouldn’t 100% value their opinion above and beyond the written conclusions prepared by WTO themselves.
  5. I tried reading the WTO report prior to looking on here or anywhere else for a second hand interpretation as I’m usually quite good at reviewing big reports for the key information. However it soon became clear that to understand it you need to understand international trade law, be able to read the document back to front and front to back whilst simultaneously reading other documents containing a bunch of regulations. You need to understand where the claims and counterclaims are, where the judgements are, and where judgement X might be latterly overruled by judgement Y. In fact anyone from any side of the coin will be able to find paragraphs that back their point of view and use these out of context. Having reached that conclusion I immediately gravitated towards the conclusions document. These conclusions are clearly signposted by the people that actually know what they are doing, having taken the other 100+ pages into account to highlight what the actual judgement is. Now while I’m sure there are nuances it is not something we should be worrying ourselves about. Fans, football journalists, even most lawyers as international trade is quite a niche area are not going to be able to accurately explain the consequences of this document beyond these conclusions which have already been made very clear. TL;DR those people who wrote the conclusions know more about what within that document is important compared with us armchair pundits

    Transfer rumours

Not a fan. Find him a bit static
  7. That’s their denial. Then they say even though they deny it there is no jurisdiction as it is a geopolitical dispute being framed as a trade dispute
  8. I’m happy with his silence! The question is whether that silence has any connections to reports that BeIn, Saudis and PL are in negotiations and he’s been silenced as I can’t see him shutting up voluntarily.
  9. Has Richard Keys said any more since his conspiracy rantings from a few weeks ago? If so have BeIn told him to shut up? Might suggest there are negotiations ongoing...
  10. Found it a bit odd that Lascelles didn’t feature yesterday but the club didn’t report his absence. Positive test?

This landed at Riyadh earlier and has just taken off from Jeddah. https://www.flightradar24.com/E35L/24ad293b Same plane, registration D-AVIB David?
  12. Brits are not banned from the US. Only those with special Visas are allowed at present
  13. Not even sure he has ever been in US, aren’t Brits banned, plus he’s been seen in Exeter quite a few times lately checking out the HoF there
  14. I mean, he literally didn't even see the pitch at any point that season. Actually he did see the pitch it’s just that he left the atmosphere so we couldn’t see him
  15. Shut it Grugg from NSTU. Stop trying to raise your profile!
  16. Ah, the signings that make Rafa a shit manager. Still don't understand the point in either of those signings tbh. Don’t think they made him a bad manager but Sels was the biggest fish out of water I’d ever seen and Rafa quickly rectified this. Then I couldn’t think of a bad left back Lazaar. His other crap signing. Hasn’t made it to five games

  19. Said No all along (other than for a couple of days of false hope when NUFC.com chirped up) so I'm sticking with that. Not really arsed either way now anyway. Totally bored with it all. Think you are kidding yourself tbh. I am very arsed. Have devoted a huge amount of emotional energy once again following this saga, just like I did last year. And even though I feel certain of what is coming I am still dreading the heartbreak of experiencing it fall through. Just hope I can move on fairly swiftly and forget about football altogether. Nah I think I've commented on this thread about 4 times in total, probably about the same on Twitter and it's rarely even mentioned amongst my mates and family or at work. Just not that arsed either way now. It's probably more symptomatic with how I feel about NUFC and football in general these days really. You have commented on this thread 42 times Nowhere near 42 and most of those comments weren't even about the takeover. They were in a separate conversation about the size of NUFC compared to Leeds on this thread. Nice try though lad! 43
