  1. I personally believe that there’s something in this. There are essentially four parties / six high profile names (buying or selling) and I would have expected one of these to say something if it wasn’t true. The reality is that all want to keep it out of the press, and the press have all jumped onto a single story from the WSJ. They all know jack shit. First we’ll hear is through Ashley himself or way or another.

    Joelinton

Perez was never shite just had a few consistency issues
  3. Just wiki’d him he’s from my part of Manchester too!
  4. Seems like a steal at £1m. Should be all over that one. Isn’t he a left back? Would have been good cover for Rose if so!

    Transfer rumours

Heard of a player, good hold up play, half decent goal record, looking for a short term loan due to the indefinite postponement of his domestic league. Comes with even better manager if we can get bought by someone. Would fit the bill perfectly.
  7. Yep in the context of everything he was the best we could have got. He was in the CL final less than a year ago
  8. It’s odd because he’s only had 7 official injuries his whole career
  9. In his whole career, Danny Rose has had only 7 injuries lasting more than 2 weeks, 4 injuries lasting more than a month and 1 injury lasting more than 3 months. He’s not made of glass.
  10. FWIW if Ashley was born a Saudi Prince he’d probably be even worse than MBS
  11. Yedlin back is a bit of a relief considering how light we are there
  12. To push on we need at some point need to have one less defender and one more attacker in the first XI. To do this we had to strengthen the central midfield and right wing, we may well have done this. Based on current fit personnel, a more cohesive attacking team would be: Dubravka Hayden Fernandez Lejeune Clark Lazaro Bentaleb Longstaff ASM Almiron Joelinton Clearly we need Manquillo back soon and a new left back but it’s something to think about.
  13. Not sure that's a win win for Frankfurt mind... It guarantees them £7.5m if he returns at a similar level and stays fit. If he doesn’t we are paying his wage for a year. The alternative is that he goes back to Frankfurt and his value will depreciate as it will be hard to take a risk on him with that injury.
  14. I’d extend his loan until the end of next season with his optional transfer clause being made compulsory after 20-30 more league games. That sounds win win win to me.
  15. Just drove past a VMS in Manchester: ‘Love it, just love it, if we beat the traffic”
  16. Well I shop at the same Sainsbury’s as Audrey Roberts so I think I trump you there
  17. Probably makes a difference that he is now playing on his preferred side as well
  18. What the fuck are you talking about you fucking mong

    Relegationometer

think we are going to forget about relegation henceforth. A cup run and takeover could happen this season if we genuinely wanted it.
  20. Everyone knew Shelvey was onside. It was Carroll they weren't sure about I said ‘it’ as in the play, not Shelvey
  21. More I see that goal from Shelvey the more brilliant I think he took it. He is the only person on the pitch that knows it is onside but pretends he thinks he’s offside completely half arsed running on the ball as if he’s time wasting. Think that’s what got Henderson.
  22. Average is never a great adjective to use as it is all relative and down to specific terms of reference. For instance, for the top two English divisions Bruce as a yo-yo manager could be seen as bang average. However if we are talking every professional league in world football, Bruce is a top manager.
