Neither first nor last post. I joined this forum because of the title "Newcastle United Fan Forum". It clearly is. It's amazing. The hatred towards the manager, the team, the desire to see the team lose is downright relatable. HTT could write a whole page on this, so I'm not going to waste my precious time doing so. When the forum is down don't forget to rename it "Newcastle United GREATEST Forum", or better stiil just don't bother taking it down. I've found a fan's forum. He's not very good at defending, which is brilliant because if he was he certainly wouldn't be here. Schar is a good defender. Very good at times, in fact. He really isn't. He is good at aggresive interceptions at that is about it, he gets caught out of position a lot but gets away with it in our three man set up with relatively deep wing backs making a 5 when defending. Wouldn't have him anywhere near my team in a back four. Great on the ball, lovely passing range. Decent finisher. He's not very good at defending, which is brilliant because if he was he certainly wouldn't be here. Schar is a good defender. Very good at times, in fact. He's not at all. If he was he'd be at a very top club I completely disagree. Superb defensively just 1 week ago. Some great challenges. Last ditch tackles and blocks are not the sign of a good defender. The best defenders don't tackle at all really. They don't need to. This. Never saw woodgate making them I do he made some really good last man challenges

5k down on the usual is progress for us tbf, against the likes of Norwich who only bring 1k up then we could be looking at 8k/9k empty seats some games this season I’m not really sure what people were expecting. I’d consider that an initial success.

The people who tried to carjack him were part of a gang. Their failed car jacking being posted online has made them feel embarrassed, as well as having the belief that they can take anything they want, they feel wronged by not having the car. As a result they are now targeting them, attacking them, either by injury, injuring them and ending their career, or even worse killing them, is retribution in their gang members eyes. It’s worse than this, the Turkish mafia put a protection notice on them which the other gang chose to ignore. The people arrested are actually two Turks that went to talk to ozil about his protection. Think both will have to leave Arsenal now unfortunately

Arsenal look quite weak it hasn’t been the best pre season injury wise

Should be an interesting match, lots of Arsenal players missing Ozil and Kolasanic are left out due to a security threat.

Think there will be more striker opportunities this year, Rafa was (rightly so) very rigid in building an attack around Rondon and Perez who both stayed fit all season. This season there will be injuries, two up top at times, more rotation for who supports Joelinton. It’s why we need Gayle and Carroll to be quite honest, this could be our best set of striker options in the past 15 years.
