  1. Because Amdy Faye is a fucking disgrace of a player and Andy O'Brien scored against the mackems and played in the Champions League. Faye was a regular for a half season. Then Parker was signed. Nowhere near as bad as some of you are pretending. Not even close. I'm sorry, but he was hopelessly shit. Utterly fucking useless. I wouldn't normally knock 'a tryer', but he was so bad I can't help myself.
  2. I used to shit myself when he used to sprint to challenge the oppo's winger, and the back four started to look like a rickety bucket with a massive fucking hole in it.

    Are we?

I wish: this season's home top is minging.
  4. He was overrated initially but was almost adequate, but his confidence soon nose-dived and he was sucked into a defensive nightmare. The fact he was about 6'4" and couldn't head a ball didn't help him much, though.
  5. Everyone else in that list has at least tried for the team, regardless of ability. The worst player is about what is upstairs not just natural talent. I've voted for those players who've turned in the highest percentage of bad performances regardless of innate talent. I'd say that's Faye, with Pattison, Ameobi, Smith, Luque lagging behind. If you go on that theory then it's Pattison, Faye, Boumsong, Luque, Smith. In that order. Although I tend to judge performances differently to some on the forum I dunno. I tend to overlook Boumsong as he had to play alongside Bramble. He was rubbish, though, no doubt about it.

  7. Has Ramage really been much worse than Alan Smith? Or Luque, infact? Yeah. At least Smith put in 2 excellent shifts against Blackburn and Arsenal. Luque did a couple of useful things aswell. As did Ramage, tbf. Has had a few decent matches at centre-half.

  10. 3-2 match when Emre scored and was sat in the SW corner and this old fella next to me shouts, 'Wheese baal's that, Carr?' Everyone in the corner looked over at him thinking he was some kind of mackem infiltrator. Had to explain to the multitude that he was from Sunderland but his family were all black and white for generations. Poor sod.

    Finisher

I'd have been Romario if I'd been Brazilian, like. A lazy twat.
  12. I hate to bang on about this, but when Amdy Faye was with us he was easily one of the worst players in the whole Premier League. Fucking diabolical.
  13. Souness, obviously. Still boggles my mind whenever I see that clip of someone shaking his hand as he drove away after getting the boot.
  14. I'm not sure what 'worst' is supposed to mean in the context of this poll, but Babayaro as a footballer is better than a hell of a lot on that list in terms of his performances on the pitch.
  15. I honestly had no idea what he was trying to convey there. I think there was promise in some of his ideas--using ProZone stats to show where players could improve their game, for one--but a lot of it was just FM2008 bullshit and just niggly.
  16. I'm surprised I'm the only one who voted for Bowyer (so far): he was completely shit. The real answer is Amdy Faye, though. The worst player I've seen in the black and white for a long, long time.
  17. I'd take Crouchinho. Would be a good player for us, I think.
  18. Saw a police horse stand on a mackem a few seasons back. He was pissed and was in a bit of a barny, staggered backwards, lost his footing and fell under a horse which promptly stood on his head. Got dragged out and he was OK, I think. Prat.
  19. 2-1. It'll be tough, but we've got the extra quality, I hope, to shine through.

    Gallas

Seems to be going a bit mental.
