If you listen to Andy Townsend on TalkSport, he comes across as a decent sort of chap and knowledgable about the game. On TV, though, he's fucking hopeless.

He's right: that's exactly why he was there. Still surprised he quit considering how much he whores himself around on other tat. I like him, btw. Not on TV, though.

He was shaky throughout his Newcastle career, but I think people were a little more lenient at first with him being a new signing. He was never very good and any purple patch was, in hindsight, more of a damp patch.

I would have complained about him being first, that's for sure. But not about his presence on the list, of course. Dyer, Smith, Shawky, Etuhu, Halford, Koumas, O'Neil.. All been worse than Barton in terms of appearances and overall contribution. For his fee, he's been terrible if you exclude the past 6 matches. Just didn't look like he wanted to play football anymore.

I fucking hate Chelsea. Worse than Man Utd, imo, in almost every aspect other than smugness.

Would this mean Emre on the left, Butt in the middle and Barton on the right? It could work, if Emre doesn't fuck about and gets his act together.
