An increasing number of macums are entering the denial phase. Deep down inside even they realise that results and performances don't lie and they've fucked up again. Big time. Long may it continue. The longer the denial lasts the more terminal their decline will become.
-
If the accusations levelled at Clattenburg are false I think that almost everyone connected with football in any way will want to see Chelsea Football Club and the players who made the allegations very severely punished.
-
Even his fellow macums are calling him Masterplank. He's become Arty Ziff's head of propaganda recently, insanely preaching to fellow halfwits about how good Marty is and how he's the right man for sunderland despite the facts saying the opposite. A bit like his stupid comments on the Colo tackle really.
-
but haven't they been really unlucky with shots on target being ruled offside etc ?
-
Very good point which most of us would have taken prior to kick off. I thought the goal we conceded was horrible, the way we surrendered possession in the middle was amateurish. I'd actually swap the point gained for no red card or injuries because I think the impact on the next three games could be more than one points worth.

When fate deals him such a rough hand. Fate had nothing to do with anything today, everything happened for a reason and it was all within our control. Sorry, I didn't realise that injuries to Ba,Taylor,Cabaye,Perch and the sending off of Colo was "within our control". Ending the game with nine men and a crock must have been the plan. Haway man, everyone knows you've got it in for Pardew and you're entitled to that opinion but some of your arguments are just plain daft.

General irritating things aside (red card/bullshit officials, maybe could've pushed for the win, Cisse was shit) - i tend to agree. It's a decent point and we played well. Just like the macums game if we'd managed to keep the starting XI on and been able to make substitutions by choice, we'd have won today. There are a few on here who have made up their minds that Pardew is to blame for everything (including such failures as away draws against Liverpool) but more even minded supporters, though not enjoying performances, realise there is nothing he can do when fate deals him such a rough hand.

Hard facts AND a hint of sarcasm. OK, hard facts. We've got 14 points and are sitting in 10th place after 10 games, last season after 10 games we had 22 points and were 3rd in the league. That was an extraordinary start and sure we haven't got near it this season. However I'm sure even you would concede that this has been a much more difficult opening ten games for several reasons.

ATB agrees with everything you say, so fair play you must be on to something.

Four points up on last season over the last two games. Pards starting to show his "Manager of the Year" class again.
-
This may be the mackems' biggest chance to redeem themeselves - it'd be so funny to see that at the SoS. Given their current plight and laughing stock status it would be more constructive than anything Martin O'Neill has come up with so far.

So did our flair players click yesterday? Never mind, it's only a matter of time marra. FTM STHT PartywithMarty#

Ugh. What a fish-tastic post, marra. He's still early on in his time here, results are the important thing for Pards at the moment as they buy him time to evolve the playing style towards his preferred way (a variant of 4-3-3/4-5-1). He could be trying to get the team to play on the floor with 3 front men but if we're conceding every week then we won't get results. In one! Throw a few insults and spelling mistakes into that and it's right off RTG

Anyone notice that the Tyne Tees Television regional weather bulletin - that's the same TTTV who lead their news programme with the Shock! Horror! NUFC/Wonga story, ran it for days and milked it as long as they could - is now sponsored by QuickQuid.com who's business is...errr... instant pay day loans.

Points total really seems to be oscuring their abject performance level for many macums. Good. Still nowt to worry about though, with O'Shea/Wes Brown's medals and Marty's top 6 finishes they'll be just fine.

Liverpool vs Newcastle United - 04/11/12 @ 4pm (Live on Sky)

Despite all the Anfield ghosts I reckon we can get something on Sunday. HBA to be the difference. -

Watching his pitiful interview post match Boro, I'd want him out even if he was a half decent manager. His tramp like appearance just adds to their laughing stock image. Would help if he tried to look like a professional football club manager rather than an Andy Pipkin impersonator.
-
Their points total so far is quite amazing in relation to the way they have played. So is ours tbf. Afraid I'm gonna have to disagree even at risk of of B&W bias accusation. We've been pretty average, uninspriring and have a pretty average, uninspiring points total. They've been absolute dross, outplayed in every game and also have an average, uninspiring points total.
-
Finishing below Sunderland could equal relegation. Their points total so far is quite amazing in relation to the way they have played and the fact they have been outplayed in every game.

Just another internet forum post so can't attach any great credibility to it but there does seem to be a bit of this going around. Got to say the financials at Sunderland have never made sense to me, nor why an American investment banker would suddenly take an interest in such an unfashionable club. As a brand it is virtually non existant with no possibility of growing the business. It would appear that Short will have to continuously subsidise them. How long will he be prepared to continue throwing money away ? http://www.readytogo.net/smb/showpost.php?p=13727130&postcount=45

Being the laughing stock of football can't be easy, but they do tend to bring it upon themselves.
