  1. ....and Sholaesque performances against the rabble down the road.....
  2. I think our 442, 433 and 451's have become quite blurry. Anything with four digits just confuses me totally.
  3. Fergie has taken this competition a lot more seriously since the other prizes have become less easy to win for him.
  4. We should win this easily, I just hope the 11 highly paid Premier League players managed by Chris Hughton and playing for Norwich tomorrow realise this and lie down accordingly. Must win? How stupid. As Mick and others said though, it's a game we should win with the players and ambition we have.

It just keeps getting better and better Seems the the regular 10,000+ pink seats have nothing to do with the dreadful football which is O'Neill's trademark, or that most of their geographical catchment area is under the North Sea. http://www.readytogo.net/smb/showthread.php?t=731481

I really like CH and will always thank him for the fantastic job he did at our club, but got to admire the ownership for making a very unpopular decision at exactly the right time.

february edit- is when they usually abandon hope in the league, and confirm definate success in the cup and next season.

I'd reckon even macums are bright enough to figure that out already.

Macums are born underdogs. It's what leads to the deranged delusion and bitterness in later life.

one point last night in Europe, is more than they have achieved in all seasons added together for 35 years. They don't want to me in Europe man, it's a distraction. Not worth the bother. They are actually in a better position than us not being in Europe. They are not deluded at all are they??? The intensity of mackem bitterness and jealousy towards us is well known, but when it comes to our European games it just goes to another level altogether.
  11. Thought the kid did very well last night, solid, authoritave and good saves when needed.

13 games without a win for Marty. Similar run to Bruce before he was binned and at least he attempted to play decent football. Brucie for me like!
  13. Sadly, we are a much bigger pull in Europe than Birmingham City would be and they're confident of selling out to home fans.

Aah wuz theyur when irrelevant poster tried to take moral high ground over fuck all but banal triviality., While 95% of this thread is just the ritual ripping the piss out of macums that is a favourite pastime of Geordies, it also on occasions serves to "out" them for despicable behaviour which goes unchallenged by their club itself. Regularly terrorising and vandalising trains, invading the pitch and attacking opponents and some of the worst open racism are ritual events that their management chooses to ignore. Today, one week after the Hillsborough verdict and leading figures in the game asking for an end to vile behaviour between fans, they ran a thread in which the vast majority of posters made sick comments about how pleased they'd be if the Newcastle flight into Madeira crashed on the runway. Rival fan banter? No way! I say continue using this thread to amuse ourselves about their jealousy and obsession with all things Newcastle United, and also use it to show them up for the low lives they are on regular occasions.

Has the flight landed safely in Funchal then ?
  16. Tiresome and blown out of all proportion, but there again the media vultures need their copy and any slight whiff of unrest will have them salivating. Far better concentrate on.....let's say.....James Perch, who comes in and out of the team, depending on available personnel, plays in whatever position he's asked to, smiles and normally turns in a storming performance. Nah, wouldn't make a good story would it?

Takes me to a login page. What was it? An OP stating Funchal airport is one of the world's most dangerous and implying that the Newcastle plane crashing would be amusing. Thereafter several pages of "witty banter" supporting it, including quotes about "Pardew's Babes" (Busby Babes) and how someone felt sorry for those who would have to clear the "stinking" mess up. A couple of decent fans criticised the OP realising just how sick it was.

Sick. Little wonder many of their decent fans have stopped attending matches as the low lives take over.
  19. So true There's a few on here who have the knives out for him before he even gets on the pitch. To most of us who've watched him over the years he's a great club servant who has never let us down. That said, I'm sure he's wishing Timmy a speedy recovery just like the rest of us.
  20. Totally agree. Could become a big player for us.

  22. See both the local news programmes focused only on the decisions which went against Everton and chose to totally ignore the fact that the free kick before the incident should never have been given and that the evenings really shocking decision was to stop play when HBA was clean through on goal. Seems like the lazy press had already set it's agenda and everyone was going to follow it without question.
  23. Sky made a big point about the fact that when Everton go ahead in games the almost always go on to win. With the players we had missing last night it makes it an even better result.
  24. Harper's a cheating c*** too. Krul would have stopped play and admitted that the ball was over the line but saved the other two and we'd have won 2-1.
  25. To be fair mind we only had the lower tier so you can hardly just blame them. Sorry but I am blaming the piss poor attendance on them alone. Their ground, their home match, not impacted greatly by the size of away following.
