  1. Thing is that when he snuffs it, because its ManU, the FA will ask us all to show respect, despite his total disrespect for our football club and of course many, many other clubs too. He should be shown the same level of respect he has shown us, other clubs and referees over the years. He has been nice about us and Pardew as recently as a few months ago tbf. We always get his best team but he's usually respectful of us. Ya kidding man? You're confusing respect with the inane drivel that comes out after his team have won. He hates us. He couldn't contain his delight upon hearing we'd been relegated.

  3. Apparently in the New Years honours list his title will be changed from Sir AF to Cunting AF. Restored my faith in the monarchy it has.
  4. yes- the defender played it - there is no offside regardless of who does the fuck what if the defender plays it- its exactly the same as a back pass. If it wasn't a goal then it was a penalty as Evans was holding Cisse and preventing him from getting into an even more offside position.
  5. Is there any evidence the ref was actually influenced? I could have sworn it was crap defending and not some dodgy refereeing that lost us the game. Get ter f*** with the "us". Wtf are you on about? Another recent comment of yours relating to the game :- "If anything the big decisions went our way ie over ruling a linesman, not giving handball against Colo" You never sound like "us", therefore I don't think you are one of us. That's wtf I'm on about.

  7. Ferguson is THE story far too often nowadays.
  8. Can't quite get my head around it myself. The only logical reason I can come to is that he wants rid of him. "Rid" may be slightly strong but my feeling is that Pardew wouldn't be unhappy with Remy in and Ba out.
  9. Aye, but it could be that Dean didn't send him off or report if there was no actual verbal abuse. Playing devil's advocate. Looks like you're right. Still think it's bollocks, and doesn't mention the ranting at the linesman either. Fergie doesn't do these things to get decisions overturned, he does it because he knows the officials are intimidated by him and his club. Works a treat. Bang on.
  10. Always had a soft spot for Joe, from his stylish Tottenham right back days through to his press room profanities. Real football guy and good sense of humour. Happy birthday old fella.
  11. He should have at least flagged it up, was a farce how Valencia didn't get his marching orders, already being on a yellow and all that. Was the worst decision of the match for me, if I was Pardew I would have been absolutely raging. Awful cowardly tackle Col, but we can't have managers raging at officials mate. The FA wouldn't like it for a start.

Definitely agree with that. I think a solid CH is more important than a RB. The thought however of a quality RB who can attack, take on a man and cross is the stuff dreams are made of Tend to disagree with that. Although we need both a RB and CH, Williamson is essentially a squad player who for whatever reason (injuries, suspensions) has played far more games than he would have expected to, whereas even with Raylor fit Simpson would be considered first choice RB. I also (although don't want to start debating it) think he is a weaker link than Williamson. So we need both, but if there's a discussion on priority it's RB for me.

Yeah, he's been their manager again since they've fluked a couple of wins. Prior to that when they were losing it was still Bruce's team/squad. Expect it to become Bruce's team again come the new year.

It's part of the reason why even on Boxing Day (when traditionally every game sells out) against the champions, on the back of a good away win and with heaven knows how many free and cheap tickets, their stadium still has 7,000 empty seats. Decent people who once supported Sunderland have just given up on the dump and left it to the ignorant aggressive rabble who now populate the backwater. Although I do believe a reduced public transport service was thrown in as an excuse for yesterday's pathetic attendance rather than the old classics like the North Sea and mortality rates etc.
  16. I think as true Newcastle fans most of us will be delighted at getting beat 4-3, which of course we much prefer to 1-0 victories.

Where did I say that? Probably based on only Sunderland supporters thinking it exists and even then only on the rare occasions you go above your bigger rivals. And you being a mackem and that.............
  18. If there was a problem you could just take the controls of the plane for a bit couldn't you. It can be quite crowded up there as some of the smaller livestock is often carried in the cockpit.
  19. I agree. Santon was the only starting player that really seemed to be getting forward with intent and confidence. We had too many players hanging back, making themselves available for a backward or sideways pass so that we kept possession, rather than running forward into space. Perhaps some of that was a lack of faith in the man in possession being able to play a ball that eliminated defenders, which is why we should be playing Marveaux. Although we often retained possession well, the build up was far too slow to cause problems. The whole atmophere in the team changed when Shola came on. Whatever his limitations, he's always looking for the ball and always looking to take responsibility. Things can be going badly, but he retains the belief that the next time he gets the ball, he's going to produce, and so it happened. Would love to see what Santon could do in a more advanced position. He goes past players so easily.

Our highest average was 1947-48 set in the 2nd division, it was 56299. Four years before Keegan was born Best not tell the mackems as it upsets their version of history

never knew that stat, cant remember who we played? West ham? maybe- only missed bristol City at home that season the crowd was locked out by around 12-30. Beat Southend 3-2. 28,545 at that game and we beat that number quite a few times that season. http://www.nufc.com/html/1992-93.html ah, yeah did bracewell hit a cracking goal in taht one? Think so. Just outside the box maybe. I had that season review video memorised for years but it's mostly been replaced by the more recent sewage we've been served. He did. Like Venison I didn't realise how good a footballer Bracewell was until watching him regularly. Back on attendances, for a long time and before the rise of ManU we had the record for the highest ever average attendance in English football, 59K plus and achieved in the old second division iirc. Amazingly, and no doubt deleted from mackem history books, it was before 1992.

they are doing this because we had 50 thousand yesterday- and away fans are more difficult to measure- find statistics about. they also bang on about pre 92 crowd bollox, but when you look at the 2o years before 92- we had higher averages, around 10k higher than them. and a few seasons in 70s and 80s we were 3rd best in country- even when in lower division. Summary-Mackems lie about crowds to feel better. Love it when they refer to us as the 92ers like no one went to SJP pre-Keegan Recently on some site, someone bothered their arse to do the stats and concluded that their gates have actually risen more percentage wise since 1992 than ours have The main reason for that of course was the very low base level they were coming from, and the shiny new, cheap and nasty new flatpack stadium effect when their gates shot up. Judging from the vast open spaces down there lately and the desperation of the one pound and free ticket schemes their attendances could be back down to Roker Park levels before too long.
