I don't see how this doesn't get done without us having major breakthroughs on deadline for better players. He wants to come and it will be the only chance to play for his boyhood team. It's the most money Brighton will get for him. We are a few million apart. Sure Brighton are within their rights to say no, we are keeping him but I don't see it. They are a decently run, family club and it's a player that has been decent to them.

We could certainly get 3 or so loans sorted on Monday. A ton of last minute deals and opportunities open up last minute but whether we can cope to push that many through and quite a few out too, I'm not sure. We could certainly leave people off the squad list but I given Howe's insistence about keeping harmony and positivity that could hamstring us too. We might get stuck wasting time getting players out or not getting players in if we can't.

Better bet than Pereira. Lampard will likely motivate them enough to stay up imo. He is decent with younger players and might get a bit more respect with the older ones than he did at Chelsea. They will be hounding him out in 12 months though.

He was the talk of the league not that long ago. He has been a long time without a decent run of football and I think the role he is being used in is slightly more conservative. Hopefully he continues to improve from now until seasons end.

It's been such an odd window its hard to rule anything out. Some weird extremes, from world class players like Trippier and Guimarães and being in talks with Zapata, Carlos, Botman etc.. to not quite so world class Wood, Burn, Nketiah, Cantwell etc.

Gayles absolutely finished imo. Absolutely no way nketiah is a worse option than playing Gayle. We won't be paying through our arse for Nketiah. Its low risk, high reward. I wanted Zapata and feel we could do better than Nketiah but it is far from the worst option imo.

I don't mind this at all. He is a Gayle upgrade. Pacey, can play across the front and gets in the right positions to score. He is hungry to succeed. Definitely dissapointed this is the end of any Zapata/nunez/world class striker of the hour talk. It's a smart move though like Burn.
