  1. This. We improved him, he improved us. Happy to cash in right now and wish him well. Other than the odd red card, rash decision and a ton of misplaced lazy passes, I have enjoyed him being here. Seems like a good lad in general. While we can, I am not convinced we will upgrade on him.
  2. Yes to Jonathan David, really believe Howe could improve areas of his game. Rumours are Juve are willing to loan him out. We should explore that with option to purchase. Needs to happen before the world cup though. His stock might be lower now but could jettison if Canada click at the WC.

    Yoane Wissa

Get him a full pre-season under his belt. We will see a different player. He will be right up the top of the goalscoring charts next season. When we sell him to a second tier Turkish team.
  4. It's just as easy to end up like spurs or chelsea going from manager to manager. I am not convinced with the speed our club moves at, that we would bring in the right person to replace him. I was at peace with Eddie leaving. I dont think there will be a better time. I am however fine with him getting the opportunity to right this seasons wrongs. This is the first time he has let us down. As said. (Pleasantly) surprised by the rare loyalty shown to him by the ownership.
  5. Eddie has earned the chance at next season. We need a complete overhaul and so many people need hard looks in the mirror if not jettisoning out of the club. They need a full review to undress the many things that went wrong this year and how to remedy them. As mentioned, Eddie has earned next season but I still cant help thinking there will never be a better time to refresh with money to spend, players leaving and the full summer ahead. Hope we arent sitting here next season sad to see Eddie gone and 200m spent on players that didnt work out like this year. Its a gamble from the heart. Which is rare in mormdern football ownership. I credit their loyalty but it wont stop the worry of whether Eddie can once again prove doubters wrong. There are few genuinely dedicated enough to want to make it work than him.
  6. 98.9...Spare a thought for the much missed and misunderstood MartinJol
  7. Right up there with Ferguson, Wenger and Mourinho for PL HOF managers. Spain or international football next after a long deserved break?

    MLS

Amen on bad leadership and cheapskating. I think Axel Schuster has had to put up with a lot behind the scenes. Credit to him for sticking with it. I hadn't heard about the club turning down the Hastings Racecourse. I thought it was (i guess spun) the other way blocking it. Seems six of one and half a dozen of the other with BC place. The whole country is badly lacking infrastructure in this sport. Toronto has absolutely wasted the opportunity of hosting a world cup with cheap temporary seating instead of longer term impact. Does seem to be a glimmer of hope whitecaps stay after last weeks meetings but still but not particularly confident its not lip service for a done deal. From and MLS standpoint I have no issue with them wanting out of Canada in favour of US markets. Its a US league. Canada has just been having its cake and eating it with the developmental pathway. While every year its grinding forward and hopefully the WC might see more comercial buy in from sponsors/investors, The CPL is unlikely to close the gap enough, in our life time, to make it worthwhile to pull all Canadian teams out of the MLS.
  9. Swap plus cash for wor Billy. Shame he is likely to end up elsewhere.
  10. Interesting to see who he is next to here. Both are reportedly out the door.
  11. Wild Howe isnt giving Gordon a couple of minutes in his last home game. Its Howe and Ryan Fraser again lol
  12. Self fulfilling prophecy lol How do we break this mentality?
  13. West ham saw an advance screening of Mando and Grogu and have given up on the world.
