Hope we arent sitting here next season sad to see Eddie gone and 200m spent on players that didnt work out like this year. Its a gamble from the heart. Which is rare in mormdern football ownership. Amen on bad leadership and cheapskating. I think Axel Schuster has had to put up with a lot behind the scenes. Credit to him for sticking with it. I hadn't heard about the club turning down the Hastings Racecourse. I thought it was (i guess spun) the other way blocking it. Seems six of one and half a dozen of the other with BC place. From and MLS standpoint I have no issue with them wanting out of Canada in favour of US markets. Its a US league. Canada has just been having its cake and eating it with the developmental pathway. While every year its grinding forward and hopefully the WC might see more comercial buy in from sponsors/investors, The CPL is unlikely to close the gap enough, in our life time, to make it worthwhile to pull all Canadian teams out of the MLS.
