  1. Post of the year right there. ridiculous... Just make it compulsory for fans to wear sports direct paraphernalia. Can't risk losing revenue on sports direct ale, lager and pies with a giant SD made out of pastry.
  2. Good god why have we done fuck all still... This fucking clubs management fuck. Right now the one underlying priority and need is getting someone in that isn't Carver. Preferably a permanent candidate comes in now, but failing that I am happy for an interim til seasons end and get a new boss in May. Anything but keep charver from letting us nosedived into the relegation zone.

Agree with babalooba. Some great things happening there, as in many MLS clubs now taking on essentially a championship club each as their b teams. Not so much in agreement with Duece. I just don't get the Bekker hype. I'm glad he has moved on and will hopefully get starts/minutes with Dallas that he wasn't ever likely to get with TFC. Seemed well out of his depth, slow and ineffective every time I have seen him play. He has somewhat decent vision and technique and will work hard but I'd be shocked if he isn't on the waived list come season end. I hope he turns things around to show his rumoured early potential, I haven't seen it though. Compared to the likes of osorio, tiebert and maybe even Bustos and Froese he is a long way behind imo.
  4. To me it reads like we want Remi, but now. He wants his coaching staff, we won't pay for them/the won't come so he is happy to wait until the summer instead. Think we are trying to call his bluff and are putting pressure on him to come now by saying we have other options and can wait for even more options come summer. While they aren't ruling it in the chronicle article out it doesn't look like they fancy Carver for the rest of the season either. Could have easily mention of carver being backed or capable to lead the team until the end of the season if no permanent solution is found this week.

Instead he is just a very naughty boy.
  6. So the lazy bugger went to the city/arsenal game but not ours the day before.. Wants off to arsenal already..
  7. If that was the case I'd expect him by now to be pissy bout it and to acknowledge that to put the pressure on charnley to give him a ring. I'm hopeful.
  8. To be fair he hardly rejected it, just said... "Today I say nothing.".. But tomorrow.... ..I say balls, why pick Lawrie Sanchez ahead of me?

Giovinco turns down, Arsenal, Spurs, Monaco, Fiorentina "apparently". Big payday. Great signing for the league. http://www.tsn.ca/talent/toronto-fc-signs-italian-international-giovinco-from-juventus-1.185336?
  10. Well if that is what's happening, they probably didn't want to throw him into two games where we would likely be beaten. Although on the face of it Southampton were very beatable today. Also think of those two weeks of saved wages... Might also have been a case of.. Carr - get Remi Charnley - yes he is good but expensive Ashley - well maybe wait it out and see how Carver does til the break, at worst four losses won't break us.
  11. It's possible that the silence has ensued after they've met and the club have asked Garde to keep silent for whatever reason and that's why France has been quiet for a while. I doubt it though tbh, I'm just not hopeful over this appointment. To be fair, if he wasn't in the running I would expect he or a club source would have said so. Likewise if the talks that are supposed have happened went badly it would have been reported somewhere. Still crossing my fingers he will be announced either tmrw or Monday. Does seem strange he wouldn't at least be there to watch the game if that was the case. But to be honest if he has two weeks to get to know them now, he won't get anything more from watching live than watching the coverage and working with them til the Burnley game. It also doesn't upset the players, fans or staff that he is there. I still live in hope, like every transfer window. Fool.
  12. Would be completely underwhelmed with McLaren. Even more so now we have been linked with Garde, Tuchel and De Boer. Didn't rate him at Boro, didn't rate him with England, didn't follow his success abroad but fair play sometimes the right set up can work, maybe it would here. Has done well at Derby although he walked into a good set up from his predecessor paying dividends. We need a complete break from English clogger coaches imo, of which Mclaren is the best of a bad bunch. Biggest thing for me, obviously other than talent, is that the new coach has to have passion and personality enough to reunite fans and make believers of the many skeptics. The whole fan base needs a boost. The likes of Mclaren are like boosting fans with a slap to the face with a wet salmon.

  14. Wait til the midnight official confirmation of Carver til the end of the season.
  15. Everyone calm down. Refs on the N-O take.. He doesn't want Carver as manager either.

Yeah it's completely ridiculous. And they're perfectly happy to ignore the "rules" when they see fit. Lampard, for instance, unlike every other DP prior to him, was allowed to sign a contract directly with a club, rather than with the league. Because They need to overhaul the transfer system, raise the salary cap (and salary floor) tremendously, and probably give each club another DP slot. all but the first thing is rumoured to be happening in the CBA agreement talks. First won't because Garber likes the buck stopping with him on big topics or transfers, so they make him look good.
  17. Thinking of Cabella working under Garde... Please make it so...
  18. People will vote for him... ....because he's worth it.
  19. Thought of having to wait until the hull game is unthinkable. Not having new signings and a manager in place for this short training break and two weeks break is also unthinkable. Perfect time to be integrating. If something isn't announced my Monday i will be livid. No excuses. 3 weeks is plenty of time for "due dilligence" they aren't writing a thesis on each bloody manager. On the upside I get the impression they absolutely wouldn't tell carver they had hired garde until after the southampton game. I think he is almost as in the dark as we are. That should be a good sign if there wasn't the underlying feeling of dread that charnley and co are just fixing to stich us up again.
  20. This. Good start, concede sloppy goal then fall apart. Late consolation goal. Then carver hired immediately after.
  21. Madness from Burnley.. don't they know they are gambling with their financial future trying to win an FA Cup game. Surely can't compete on two fronts.
  22. Can't see Mapou being happy to sit out half a season just to stay there. On the flipside equally as stupid that we don't recall him when we need a CB. I guess the recall fee must be more money than we deem worth it.. Eg; 1p and up... We will absolutely play hardball with them. The club wants rid, if we recall him, Roma get money off us and maybe still get to sign him at a reduced fee in the summer. We will try and force their hand into playing him and activating his buy clause. No doubt Mapou and his agent will be pushing them as well.
  23. Coloccini's best mate was treated terribly by Pardew when he had a cancer, yet Coloccini defended him publically to preserve his own position in the side. He certainly wouldn't want to risk an astute manager coming in and taking him out of the side. Take him out for who? He will probably end up back in Argentina at the end of the season anyway.
