Rémi Garde and the case of the missing art galleries

Well the closest to factual information we know is.. - we want a head coach with experience working in his type of set up. - Carver knows and has been quoted saying he is in charge until after the southampton game. - We have denied speaking to s couple of coaches but havent denied the widely reported garde meetings. What's open to conjecture dependent on what side of optimism/pessimism/scepticism you are on is whether we are looking or carver is the choice all along and this is all shenanigans to make it look like we tried. On the optimistic side; We reportedly wanted to wait until then because of the break and let's be honest if true they wouldn't want the new guy to start with two probably losses. With Carver; While there is no certainty the people we want or have spoken to will accept the position on our terms they need carver kept sweet in case talks fall through. I would certainly enjoy this whole media blackout if there wasn't a large part of myself doubting the above and that we are looking for a decent hire. When it came out that carver would be in charge against Chelsea and southampton we had a two week wait.. it continues to be agony and I don't think we will hear anything until early next week which already still seems like two weeks away in terms of Paranoia and worry. -
He is also increasingly injury prone. Be surprised if he wasn't on the treatment table for a chunk of time this season.

Exactly.. Garde would have the rest of the season to settle in and use our current coaches to learn about the club, area, players etc, while also being relatively untouchable in terms of accountability for results and performances til the end of the season. No brained to start early and use this as a test run and get his feet under the table. -
oops, yeah sorry should have specified Toronto! Although that is arguably more crazy! Not least as he is also being linked to Arsenal at the same time.

Confirmed according to TSN over here: http://www.tsn.ca/toronto-fc-completes-swap-deal-altidore-to-toronto-defoe-to-sunderland-1.181889 Giovinco Is another coup for them, although he is made of glass.

Morrison is likely of our league if you ask the likes of Edwards and howey.

I'd rather have JFK. At least he adds humour to disaster. This. Honestly I would rather have JFK than Carver. Absolute f***ing joke. Like a few others have said that quite possibly me out for the rest of the season or until carver is gone. Ashley's intentions are quite clear if this does happen .

No labia.. http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/newcastle-united-deny-german-reports-8433836? -
People forgetting how awful pardew made Jonas at football.

Hang on, he was blatantly jumping on mourinho for hugs.. Even when stone was having a go at him at half time. Carver ditched stone and leeched himself unto Jose. Same before the game too. No doubt Jose would love him in charge another easy 3 points guaranteed. Carver is equally as detestable as the king.. Hope he is long gone sooner rather than later.

Defoe to mackems with altidore going in the opposite direction. Looks very possible.

Jumping ahead a bit here, but hypothetically if we are going for Garde and this week but want him to just be in the stands against Southampton we should use the below to our advantage... Nice snippet from .com. Didn't see it posted, apologies if so. -

Meh none of the press have a clue. Didn't from the start. If its one story in the 30 they have shoveled out knowing our luck it would be this one. If its Carver til the end of the season I'm putting money on palace finishing above us. Grimmest of the grim. -

If we avoid any of those, I'd be satisfied tbh. Sick of British mediocre managers being touted. Have my fingers crossed for Garde. Well that depends there are plenty of said cloggers and maybe a few sound mangers that would both be interested in the job and willing to work within the structure, even though they don't agree with it, or harbour delusions that in time they could change the boards mind. My worry would be accepting one of those names when it's only going to create friction or excuses further down the line. Would be delighted with clement as well tbh. -

Shame houllier had such a sweet deal with red Bull. Would be freaking amazing to bring him in as dof to work with Carr and garde. -

We should round up those usual suspects and lock them in a dungeon until this blows over and we appoint someone. We could host a shit football managers roundtable. -

This Have they ever actually done that? i see people say that a lot but I can't remember any examples of it You can see it being useful with players you want to sign but managers? Especially this time of year. I guess it might make sense if you are speaking to someone that is already in a job but in this case it would only really serve to piss off the press, fans and remi garde lol. ..unless it's Ashley's end game. Build up supporters hopes to a garde or Tuchel before hiring David o'leary on an 8 year contract then selling the club. Guess who wins again. Can't see these other candidates being as much of a mystery if true. Think it's Garde we are just giving a few mixed messages or maybe as per norm no messages to keep the press guessing while we take time ironing things out with garde. -

All these remi talks are a smokescreen for the guy they really want. -
Yup, one season. Ah but to Paul that season was over in a sniff, he probably doesn't remember.

Oh my goodness  And the man management maestro is at work. Bet the strikers at palace feel great.

Until he weasels himself on to staff..literally the first person on staff I want to see gone. "You need someone local remi, I'd be happy to help..just for the record, I've always loved your work and have always ignored what Stoney, wooders and beardo always say about you. Did I mention the people I have also worked under.." -

Well they can't spend all evening pissing around in London. Stiflers mates hotel has rooms waiting. -
Interviewer after the game asking if still wants the job, an how obviously the fans were behind him being appointed. Fucking press want nothing more than us to appoint someone shit like carver. Not least now the likes of de boer, tuchel and garde look like possibilities.
