  1. All this no money malarkey is all a bit silly given the whole "just you wait til the summer, mike will fully back rafa then" spiel thrown out by penfold in jan/feb after the lack of spending then. Definitely smacks of smoke and mirrors playing down how much we have or are willing to spend. It's hard line tactics that will save us some serious money in the end but that will be counteracted by the fact we missed out on our 1st, 2nd, 3rd targets due to our massive faffing and stingy tactics.
  2. RIP. Have two youngungs myself. Can't even start to imagine and no one should have to. Sending love their way.
  3. Will surely get more guaranteed minutes in Wales. Probably the deciding factor. Seeing as his heart is also still in Chelsea and they rate him highly it softens the blow.
  4. If you combined callbacks effort with saviets skill set we would be a brain away from having a good player.
  5. Huddlestone is a bit grim but an easy upgrade on Colback. Would be chuffed if we got the others on that list.
  6. Big season ahead for the lad.
  7. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/former-arsenal-defender-sean-oconnor-10731138 Some Ryder-esq journalism there. Headline -> Sean O'Connor. First Paragraph Stefan O'Connor. Then a nothing article bascially with the player hyping himself up and no interest confirmed from our part at all.
  8. The sole reason no-one else has been signed. It's all about Le Gouff.
  9. It's where you are encouraged to bet double to prove your masculinity.
  10. Speed and Dyer over 13 years ago. Dyer - functional In the 10 minutes he was fit yes. I get the sentiment. Just wouldn't put the word functional next to Dyer.
  11. This takeover nonsense is really going to f*** them over. Could take another month at least to finalize a takeover and there won't be a manager appointment before most likely. That said, if its Pardew that is gold for him... built in excuses. "We was hampered by the moveable feast that the takeover was. I'm hoping for patience as it will take time, an 8 game losing streak happens in football."
  12. Good appointment for Palace. Maybe I can learn to hate them a little less.
  13. I think its past scouting, past monitoring and into closing in territory.

    Graham Carr

It is a positive move and takes away another remaining doubt hanging over Rafa's control. All the best in your future endeavors Graham.
  15. This. He clearly felt he wasn't going to get minutes here and might not have done. Disappointed given his talent but much rather we signed someone that we own and wants to be here. We were always his fall back
  16. That mock up is lush imo. It's in the Chronicle though so has to be fake.
  17. Rest is paying Johnson's legal fees and compensation?
  18. Don't care that I am spamming up the page by quoting the post. Those are three of the best kits we have ever had no doubts. Still have the top two.
  19. Could be rewinding time and talking about when they appointed Moyes 12 months ago. Look how that turned out. More than fair, Moyes would have been better waiting a year though and picking them up now. Hindsight.
  20. Decent appointment given the other names linked. He is used to working with a shoe-string budget. Bit of a gamble from him, another good year with Aberdeen and he might have attracted some premier league interest. Gets the chance to build his own team with a bigger budget though. Will have his work cut out next season.
  21. The twist is that Ope is Skjelbred. Just some passive aggressive therapeutic release of his suppressed emotions.
  22. Would likely work out worse for us than the 2026 bid. Never know. Maybe we could pick up Mexico's 10 games and have 20 here to USA's 60
  23. Nice article. http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/news-and-comment/cheick-tiote-dead-dies-death-tribute-newcastle-united-difficult-to-comprehend-a7774411.html
