He was on the periphery with Man City, training with the first team and playing with the reserves. I expect he would be the same here but quite likely he gets some first team sub minutes with us.
-
Expect we will deal on £15-17m. Whether they push that high we shall see. Haven't we been linked with a couple of RBs the last couple of months. I'm sure we will have a game plan for all potential player departures. That's Ashworth and his teams job. Also one he excelled at down at Brighton. The youth system was in better shape than ours though.
-
Beat me too it! He looks a massive prospect. Can't have come cheap and surprised we got him.
-
It's time. In a toon shirt by windows end. Banned for betting for a year and half on February 3rd.

No chance though. We would be talking 50-60m at least. That said, if we are upgrading who wouldnt cost that much. Would be fantastic though. Could see the rumours of Jonathan David being true as well if Wilson is shipped out.

5!

Right you are. Missed that! Sell away, sell away.. This was nearly a week ago. "Howe has confirmed the winger is back in light training. Expected return: Fulham (A) - 27/01" https://www.shieldsgazette.com/sport/football/newcastle-united/joelinton-joe-willock-jacob-murphy-newcastle-united-injury-list-return-dates-after-surgery-blow-4480188

Dan Ashworth (no longer working for Manchester United)

Provided everyone is happy with the stategy and we aren't hiring someone that decides to go a different direction. I assume he would have sold them on that old Swansea/Brighton route of "this is the blueprint and our club style" so if a manager or employee leaves the strategy remains the same and recruitment for all positions at the club would be lined up to fit that mandate/blueprint. Maybe Howes buddy from Bournemouth that seemed underwhelming seem more attractive as he might stick to the plan and take the opportunity with both hands rather than someone with a bigger name in the game letting ego or their own ideas get in the way to make a mark and not live in Ashworths shadow. Or the tweet might be bs and Ashworth stays lol -
Can't see him leaving. Murphy isn't close to a return. I guess we can shoehorn Barnes or Gordon there but like selling Wilson, we would need two replacements as we are already short. Also like Wilson and Trippier, we won't get more money for them than we will right now. I get why he would be on the list of options to sell. Would mean bringing in a much better RW this window though. I'd take the upgrade as much as I'd love to keep miggy as squad depth.

I heard Britain's Nicest Policeman magazine is apparently cancelled. Not sure why they seem to have got such abuse online.
-
It's a gamble if we let him go. The bigger worry is him being Bayerns backup and having to wait to windows end to see if it happens or not. We simply can't afford to do that and miss out on other targets.
-
Potential hammer blow today but hopefully we use it to motivate. We will have to beat Burnley. The same frailties in defence and midfielf cover cost us. Forest really nullified out attack too.
-
Some weird bounces and rolls off this pitch!
-
PSG has asked, we rejected. Player flew home from Paris to push the move.
-
Absolutely let Forest control the game the last 15 minutes. Comedy of errors at the back. Again surprised we are bringing in another striker ahead of better defenders of a quality DM
-
Also signed that English youth RB from Wolves. I think we likely have enough to get to seasons end. Not sure what losing Tripps would do for the squad morale though. It's a tough one but if we were to sell Tripps and Wilson and bring in another young world class mid and striker then I'd probably take it. We'd really need two strikers this window though or one striker and a RW that could also play upfront if needed. Also if selling Wilson and Tripps meant keeping Bruno, Joelinton, Isak and Botman for another couple of years I'd absolutely take it.
-
Da Fook? While both are likely complete bs, imaging losing Wilson and Trippier this window. Madness in the lockeroom

Aye. Not sure if this is positive or negative news. The Manure rebuild and hiring season is in full flow though. https://x.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1748782495384924597?s=20 -
We are all about strikers and goalkeepers. Defence and Midfield protecting it seems to be the biggest issue when playing the better teams.
-
Love Manquillo. Barely remember a game he played that he wasn't solid. Mystifying what it is that he is missing that he always ends up being the coaches 3rd choice. Good luck to him. Important move for our FFP.
-
Interested as to who leads the transfer charge for this team. Do we have a separate recruiting and scouting team to the men's? Is it largely just Becky and her team?

https://twitter.com/TheAthleticFC/status/1747589836352217233?s=20 Probably giggs'd this and it's already been posted. Having Miley more expensive than Gordon is certainly an interesting choice though.
-
Aye. Both have sold players for significant amounts and have profitable academies. Liverpool begrudgingly have been run reasonably well. Spuds essentially have too, some misses on the management appointments side and levys rumoured tinkering aside.
-
Don't worry.. he will have retired from football this time next week given the progression. Reincarnated by mid February and ready to go by March.
