Smells like a massive smokescreen this. We will have Lewis Dunk in by Friday. Also stinks of flushing out Leverkusen to bid.

Unfortunately I presume we have to play the game (of thrones) to a certain extent. We need to be very VERY calculated if we are to find ways to catch up. Having workable relationships with the big 6 and other PL clubs is paramount really. As much as I'd love to go all in fuck everyone. That's what we will feel like behind closed doors lol

They signed him for 32m any more than 40-45m is ridiculous. Ideally a loan to buy. He has certainly done nothing to warrant a price tag double what they paid, let alone nearly triple. At a reasonable price he could be a good signing. Not confident Chelsea are letting him go on the cheap. They were reasonably kind to us with Hall though.

Despite the frustration, embarrassment, hysteria we have all been through the past couple of weeks, my initial thoughts for this window stay the same... ..I trust Howe and the coaching staff with any fucker we get in to make them work. We just need to get some fuckers in that Howe and Co. want. If they fancy Jackson then I trust them. The one thing this process is doing is making it very "us and them" you know you have other clubs and fans rattled when they are over the top obnoxious online and in the market to try and stop us. Hopefully that just makes everyone more determined.

If we are going to villa for someone its surely Ramsey.

Ironic under Ashley we were begging for Keegan to be giving the gates to the kingdom to shape the club. Obviously we know Ashley took that the opposite way and where that led... Now we have the reverse, where Howe seems to have been given free reign. Maybe the grass wasn't greener in this case. I guess we shall see.

Kill this thread with fire.

Good player 6 years too late for us. 31 soon, not someone we need for the price Villa will naturally demand. Might as well have just kept Longstaff!
-
Another problem we have now, how are we approaching and convincing a striker to sign, lets say Ramos when our pitch was to be "sorry you are 7th choice but we want you to be our number 1, please come?" Honestly don't think we can turn this window around now. We are going to over pay for anyone we bring in at this point. The train alone news today also seems like thats the end for Isak. Happy days.

All associated costs won't exceed PSR.

Jacob's on it now. Sesko chooses Manure.

Don't worry they will have Howe in by Christmas.

I just cant understand how naive we have been in this window being lead along and everyones 2nd choice. The reality is top tier players might be open to coming to us but they will a) be in demand and attract other clubs and b) the other clubs can pay more. Unless we have unique situations like with Isak where other big clubs weren't in a position of need, we cant seem to get the players we want. We simply can't compete yet in the elite market and need to step back to the bracket below. Ironically some of the names we have tried for are in that bracket and we are still missing out. Maybe gone are the days players want to come to specific clubs. Especially when agents are in their ear.

On the upside we should have a free run at him. No other big premier league teams will be in for him. If this rumour is true, I wonder if this is a pivot and long term Lascelles replacement and we go back for a Scalvini in January or next summer to replace Schar. Saving on GK and CB to give more flexibility on Strikers and a mid.
-
Atalanta coming in for Muniz at Fulham. So we can likely strike that option off the table too.
-
An utter embarrassment this summer. It just gets worse. Thank fuck we at least got Elanga.
-
I dunno backwards momentum is where he have been heading lol
-
Not a chance another cartel club doesn't come in for him if we bid. Another one I think we are wasting valuable time on. Im sure he is indicating he is "interested" its just he will be more interested elsewhere if they bid.
-
If he wanted here we would have already struck a deal. This kind of back and forth bollocks playing clubs off each other doesnt bode well imo. If we did get him it feels like he would be a nightmare with agent looking for another move in a year or so abd more drama. Surprised we haven't walked away already if the press stuff is true. Hopefully its all garbage and the delay is us just trying to negotiate the right package.

Walking away from the deal and moving on to other targets in 3....2.....1...

Can we afford to get a new cb without pace? Botman has likely lost some of his and schar lacks it. Burns will be sliding too. Lots of the names linked seem to be more of the same. Albeit younger.
