Want 40m will likely accept 35m. We will get him somewhere in between the 30-37m mark after add ons imo. If spuds or suds doesn't gazump us or say his data sucks.
  2. From a month or so again. Hopkins was interviewed at least a month ago according to the daily fail.
  3. We are clearly just waiting til we get to Asia before emulating the Shearer signing of 96 and bringing in a worldie. Just no Bangkok this time.
  4. We were potentially leading the cartel in the 90s. Leading spending and ambition. We just fucked it at the boardroom level as @sushimonster85 says. Sliding doors, imo we could have been a key member of the current cartel had we been bought by someone other than Ashley or even if he had not hired the London mafia and backed Keegan. Two relegation later and an embittered Ashley stripping down the club its been an almost impossible task to even get where we are now. We catch up slowly but its still going to take 5-10 years. We seem to talk about this and accept the situation and then a couple of months/weeks/days/minutes later fans are on here/twitter(more so) hitting the panic button and asking why haven't we caught up? Repeat cycle.

Talks ongoing means we probably aren't that far apart. Within an extra 10-15m maybe. Think we would stretch to 32m with add ons to 35m. They probably want nearer 40m

We don't, but we are happy spending a few weeks chasing and being led down the garden path first.
  7. Big steps in the right direction. Just added a bunch unto the women's teams value for when we sell them lol Hopefully some more player announcements later this week too! Edit: Courtney Vacher has been at the club a while in charge of the reserves, so just a different job title. https://www.newcastleunited.com/en/news/womens-development-team-lift-fawnl-reserve-plate

Wouldn't be shocked to see someone (Manure maybe) bringing him back. Maybe we could bring him home just to pull Tonali off the wagon.

More flushing out the club thats actually in for him rumours. "Set to bid" - when spurs (clearly his most likely destination) are named too, just smacks as using us to make Spurs big higher. Would still love him here.
  10. Thought they were in for Costa too? Could absolutely see them wanting him back for homegrowns but also to sit on the bench behind their real number one target.
  11. We will bring another striker in this summer, imo. Two if the worst happens and Isak leaves. We simply have to. Even just having 3 (or 2.25 with Wilson's injuries and Howes reticence to play Osula) in the squad last year was arguable short. Going into the season with only 2 strikers would be suicidal. Priority wise a RCB next (that has pace) then CM/GK. Worst case, I could see us settling with our keepers again. Trying to squeak through in midfield keeping Hernes and maybe blooding Munda. Even limping through with our CB pool. We shouldn't bloody have to though. Depends who we can get off our books too. Targett, Willock, Lascelles, our 76 goalkeepers etc.
  12. If the 300k thing is true we are backed into a corner. Likely not a great one. We cant afford to pay it and if we do? Bruno, Tonali, Botman, Gordon and everyone else's agents will be on the phone and at the clubs door demanding similar wage increases. We can keep him another year but our resolve is going to be seriously tested this window with clubs bidding around that 120-140m mark. Hope we have a list of replacements ready and also hope when he does go its to a club outside the PL.
  13. It's not so much about the couldn't and more about the wouldn't imo. We seem adamant about not doing anything underhand. There are clearly lots of work arounds Chelsea style.
  14. Just when I had a "well I dislike them much less these days, maybe they are alright" with klopp gone and the way their fans handled the cup final. Normal service resumes I suppose.

All you folks gonna look so silly when he posts taking his gimmick motorcycle helmet off showing his real hair.

I think most would have been pretty happy with him before the Ekitike rumours came out. He would be a very solid option for us. Ready to hit the ground running straight away in the PL, good 4 years in him at least. Ties us over a year until we get a bigger younger Isak replacement in and also gives them some bedding in time. Osula should also have either stepped out or we will step him out by next summer. Wissa would be far from a bad signing. Just still feels like Press bollocks. Would rely on no London based teams coming in for him too. Easier not to have to relocate.
  17. Im pretty similar to you. Half the names pop up like Guessard today, I didn't know anything about. I trust whomever we bring in will work under Howe. Frustrating we have to go down the list so far, as that likely comes with more risk/work to do to. There are options though.
  18. There's tons to be fair. It is what fits into our budget and a player Howe won't put on the bench for a year that narrows it down lol. So, fair, point taken.
  19. Chin up and get well soon. Legend.

L'equipe too. At any rate, French sources breaking the news over anyone in the UK? More plausible we are trying sign someone in France and we are using French press to pressure the club into believing we are moving on. Most plausible its all bollocks!
  21. They know nothing because we generally tell the press nothing... ....because we also know nothing lol
