It incentives clubs to have lots of local players playing for your team. You just have to remember to bend over backwards and sell them to the cartel and super league teams when they come calling or face the punishment of not complying with the rules.

PLEASE let this happen now lol Would be a nice boost to see Wissa and Ramsey in the crowd for the Villa game.
-
We will get Wissa by this time next week imo. Looks like the Bournemouth/Brentford Dominos are falling.we will have him as soon as those transfers are done. It will be all on finding a buyer (hopefully abroad for Isak) and bringing in a replacement. Samu does seem the most exciting but green. Id take Jackson for a reasonable fee or loan to buy. If we sell Isak we could easily loan in another striker for AFCON cover in January.

He is in a similar boat to Wilson. Murphy will likely be the same now. He needs a good tun of 8-10 games to regain top form. We simply aren't in a position to carry players like that anymore. If he can find a way to get back on form he is a gamechanger for sure. Not worldclass though and thats where we want to be heading with squad turnover.

Most excellent. Get a shuffle on. Too late to register for the weekend I assume or it the friday by noon?
-
But summer is almost over?
-
Woltemade belongs in the unrealistic transfer thread unfortunately. He wants Bayern.
-
So couple of weeks time then?
-
Is it on YouTube? Maybe they just didn't post the link and make it live yet?
-
More than anything else its likely the fact he works for Sky, which immediately down plays credibility in people's minds.

Along with late loan signing and ringleader Ivan Toney

Agree. I guess it also depends on everyone's metrics though. What's deemed a success at the time and what retrospectively is deemed a success is probably different. Had we signed Trafford, Guehi, Elanga, Paquetta and Ekitike I think lots of people would have called its a 9.5 transfer window. If all of them turned into flops after Christmas that would maybe change perception. I remember that first Allardyce summer (despite trying to block it out) and the transfer frenzy. Thought that was the best window ever at the time. In actuality not many of them worked out lol

Not 100% convinced with the narrative of him wanting to stay. Emery doesn’t want to play him in his preferred position. I assume Howe does and he gets CL here. Obviously that's Villas goal to obtain for next season too but the reasons to leave are higher than those to stay, sentimentality aside.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin (playing for Leeds United)

What news to wake up to. Going back to bed. -
Just dont see us being in for another RW. Dibling has played CF and AM I think but RW is his best position isn't it? Almost a non starter.
-
And said "just go out and play football"
-
I don’t begrudge you it haha
-
I mean to be fair, Big Joe was one of the top up and coming strikers in Europe when we signed him. Wouldn't really begrudge him that! Hopefully he can stay fit this year. His playing style is likely to catch up with him over the next couple of years.
-
Thats definitely another more power to us situation. Although we wouldnt want to let it run out til then and get bent over a barrell for a fee more than now.
-
PSR aside, we might be too close, but I dont think picking up another creative midfielder/versatile player like Bilal El Khannouss is out of the question. We have been running a player or two down of a stacked squad for a year or two. Especially if there is a young player with potential that doesnt count against the squad limit thats available at a good price. I think we will take the opportunity. Is BEK aged out now he is 21?
