Exactly this. The bloody narrative at the start in the commentary with how "so much has been made of newcastles poor start, that it's a disaster and is it time to panic?" Rancid. Liverpool was a tough loss and fine margins, we should have won at a canter. Missed chances galore could have seen us in the top 6 and a completely different picture. Brighton was a poor performance but we still had lots of chances, man City we got outplayed but again had chances. Fuck the narrative and hopefully the lads can ignore it now and move on.

Job done. Hopefully a confidence boost as man we clearly need it. Not great but importantly a win.

It's a really tough league. Our new assistant coach was in charge of Forest women who won the league last year but fell in the last version of the playoffs to go up. It's going to take time to build to be clearly ahead of the rest and go up imo. We are a different team to last year though in terms of quality so we should hopefully be up and close to the running.

Had Brighton supporting family at the game and they texted similar. They were blown away with our support. Not that we should be surprised but it was great to see our fans supporting so well even post game, if you had tuned in after you would think we had won! I hope the majority of our fanbase can retain that level of support and patience to team while we are in a rough patch.

Said before, I just don't think he is suited to being a lone central striker. He makes the most impact when he comes wide. Obviously it hasn't helped we offer nothing for support through the middle or passes created for him. I'm not sure we are set up to get the most out of him playing through the middle.
