Bring on Chelski man, bring them on. Can't wait for this one - the atmosphere will be electric and I hope we just take the match to them.

Leicester - my father was raised there and lived some 15+ years of his life there. He's still a massive LCFC supporter too

Our 3rd best side would destory their best

I could even do this again with: GK: Given RB: Beye CB: Woody CB: Colo LB: Enrique DCM: Tiote CM: Lee CM: Solano CAM: Beardo ST: Cole ST: Shearer And even that you could have Speed play the role next to Lee. This would assume leaving out Ginola and Robert. Midfield could be something like: Solano - Lee - Speed - Robert or Ginola - Lee - Speed - Robert Midfield has a billion options tbh!

From players I've seen: Given Barton Albert Colo Enrique Solano Lee Tiote Ginola Beardo Shearer

2 years ago we had just come back up in the PL. Perhaps they offered or bid on the deal, but Puma had a higher bid. Also, Mike's Sports Direct has a pretty strong partnership with Nike now as well. http://www.independent.co.uk/news/business/analysis-and-features/life-with-mike-ashley-6264661.html

True but it would be even more tacky/f***ed up if we were still manufactured by Puma but Nike were our shirt sponsor, so it would have both Nike and Puma logos on it? Another thing I just can't see happening. Hah, yeah was thinking about that too - I just couldn't even post that!

Hah man, all that Orlando sun in the summer times have burned a hole in your brain, you just love to rip on Shola! Only kidding though.
-
Shola at the same age had the same unpredictability to him, don't forget that. And 100% true, his game seemed to have gone when he bulked up over the years. Shola was still a pretty strong finisher when he was younger, which is why he was getting the hype he was at that time. Sammy looked pretty good, he has pace and good dribbling ability - he's great from the bench and has the ability to spark something out of nothing.

Would love to see Nike make our kits like. I think its no secret to anyone that they would make class kits and training gear for us. No idea how Nike would ever be as a sponser of a club too - have 2 Nike logos on a kit? That sounds like something Nike would never do from a corp branding standpoint, thats just too tacky for them in my opinion. In a perfect world, Nike comes in. Reverts the stadium name, put plasters their Nike logo and slogans all over the stadium (which I'd take over SD any day) and then on the Kit - simple black and white stripes, classic style kit - with no sponser - or they stick on a sponser of a charity they support or hell, cheekily work with SBR foundation. Their kit sales, through-the-roof if they do that - would be simple-stupid brilliant marketing. But that stuff made for dreams. Imagine it will stick with Puma, with possibly Virgin Money on it until the end of the season and we end up with Puma making our kit with the fat man's comapny all over it.

at times LA would play some brilliant 1 touch football with excellent movement. It almost seemed unfair with Donovan and Beckham on 1 squad with the way MLS handles their contracts. Just miles ahead in terms of quality and class. Houston had problems putting passes together at times, hurt my eyes to watch. Fair play to Beckham and Donovan finally getting that title together for LA. I actually hope he stays and plays in LA again, but i doubt it.

He's taller, stronger, faster and more skilled than most in the league. Just like Micah Richards, Its nearly impossible to out pace or muscle players like him.

So when a journalist decides to put up an article about Chelsea or Man Utd needing a holding midfielder, they decide the default guy to pick out of the hat - and thats Tiote?
-
Looks quite decent actually. I like it, tbh.

http://www.footballshirtculture.com/images/Italy_1213_Puma_Home_Shirt_leaked_2.jpg Italy's leaked home kit for the euros... They made us 2 unique home kits back-to-back, I wonder if our current kit will be redesigned with a new deal penned. Would love something of this "vintage" ilk - which may or may not be ruined by the brilliant Sports Direct.com plastered on the front But I'm a huge fan of this kit and love that collar.

Ashley is still tolerating it all. good point.
-
I'm beg to think that Mike Ashley isn't the worst thing associated with this club, its Dekka.
-
Is Mike Ashley the worst person ever to have been associated with NUFC?

There will be a day we will be saved from this fool, it could be in 1 year, 5 years, 15 years - but we will get someone in here that will buy this club and restore everything that we cherish in the heart and soul of this club. -
Our kit is changing next season too right? As this kit was a 1 year only? Even though the deal with Puma was to expire, I assume it has been renewed?
-
Nobody can stop it, unfortunatley. The only thing which could have prevented it would have been something in the lease for the land but I doubt changing the name was even considered a possibility. Crazy right? You'd have hoped for somethign like that in the lease, but when that lease was drawn up - I imagine that it was never in anyone's wildest imagination that someone would buy the club and think it would be a wonderful idea to change the name. But you also then think about the city - hindsight kicks in and you wish that someone would have thought "lets make sure this name is never changed, legally, for good"

He'll love it if it's anything like last year. Meyler's funny, he won't even be in the squad that travels as he's rank.

Pretty much every stadium is named bar Fenway, Yankee Stadium, etc. in Baseball....I blv every single NFL stadium is named as well. I've just come to grips with it over here, but loved how the grounds in football in europe were not named, guess that all comes down slowly.

I was really impressed with his movement, quick passing - example being the Heitinga own goal movement. He picked up the ball, passed it - then I believe received it again and made a very clever move away from the Everton marker, and played a nice ball into space to keep the play moving to Simpson. I've always had a soft spot for him as he would pop up with some great performances and would score some crackers with that right foot of his. Hope he signs and continues on, hes a wonderful player for our squad.
