  2. Ah okay...smartly kept quiet and just filmed or some people would be telling him to shut it.
  3. Who promptly gave it away. Master and apprentice. Yep, thought same
  4. My favorite thing he did yesterday was get to a ball quicker than Walcott did, then stop the ball before it went out and used outside of his right foot to lift it Mapou. Some of those little things he does completely effortlessly was a treat and something I've come to love about him.
  5. I can't wait to see him continue to develop, and its crazy that he's just 24 but with seemingly all the right self confidence and leadership (interviews after he signed, during the run-in, and his armband at Montpellier). Big fan of some of the stuff he does with the ball when defending and in attack. He has a decent left foot on him and is a smooth dribbler. Something I really enjoy about his game is that he does similar things that Colo does in sort of reading and snuffing the player out and nipping in and taking the ball and up field quickly. All I'm hoping is Colo stays and takes young Mapou under his wing.
  6. Some bastard in the white adidas top is taking a pic/video.
  7. England kit looks too much like the USA kit in the super basic style.

Should have been playing in a midfield 3 with Cabaye and Sissoko. Some of his passing is really slick.
  9. Same - absolutely love him, he puts in a fucking shift every single time he's out there.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

I honestly saw today's performance as he actually looks about 1 match or so away from turning some of those chances into something more substantial. He was doing this all over teams in the beginning of the season before he got hurt. Some of the stuff he does man, my goodness - you watch football for people like him. Hope his hamstring gets fully sorted, he gets some rest and comes back fit and ready to fuck some shit up.
  11. Was really annoyed when Pardew took Gouffran off who I thought was very exciting playing more centrally and being a nuisance with his pace. He and MYM stood out to me today.
  12. Macca and Darke fucking love each other don't they.
  13. It feels nice watching a match and not worrying about getting relegated. Wow.
  14. Did Pardew just yell to Howard to blow the whistle? The fuck man
  15. Absolutely enjoying Mapou at LB and Gouff in the middle man
  16. Rafa Option 1, Rene Girard Option 2 for me. Over the moon with either. Hope it happens.
  17. Itchy fucking collar, but loved that kit.
  18. In shock. Feel like crying but I can't. Benfica has its place in history. That's it. My old football coach in high school is a Benfica supporter, his folks grew up there and supported them and he was born here when they immigrated over here. I've sent him an email giving him my best. I feel for you jotenko man. Normally I wouldn't care as much - but you're class on this board and somehow feel like you're one of us at times. (due to your sheer madness)
  19. My love for wasting money on overpriced NUFC s**** has only increased since living outside the area too. All 3 kits nailed on next year, whether the sponsor is Virgin Money, Wonga or KiddieRape Ltd. Dan's fucking hilarious man I order the home one every single season, no matter how shit we are or how shit they look. I just enjoy having the new kit.
  20. He could have gotten to the ball too man
  21. I've seen plenty of Rafa Benitez to know he will be hounded out by our fans at the first sign of a below par season once they realise his football isn't much better than Pardew's. I reckon Pardew's "not much better" football would be much more popular if it resulted in winning some games every now and then like. Plenty of people suggesting they knew last season, when we were "winning some ganes every now and then" that our football was dire and Pardew was a fraud. Granted, I don't remember there being many actually voicing that opinion. To be fair just went through my posts and both me and Mick especially strongly disagreed with Pardew. Got ridiculed back then but there were some who were voicing their concern. I said as much, and I do indeed remember you two expressing doubts. You were in a small minority though back then, which was my point. I think Dave said it right recently: as a manager you need either results or attractive play to survive. Alas, we currently have neither. And you're questioning a guy who HAS RESULTS vs the guy who currently doesn't and then used the style of play argument against the manager who's won significant trophies in his career and his clubs have finished near the top of the league! Am I missing something in your argument man? If so, total apologies for losing my mind over this. What you are missing is the post that seems to have tipped you over the edge wasn't defending Pardew, it was questioning what people criticising Pardew's style of play and stating as a reason above all others why they want him gone yet advocating Rafa as a good replacement are seeing that I'm not. Ah okay. Results. That's why. Proven winner.
  22. That's why Ramires is left out of the Confed Cup team
