The point I was trying to make is every time you mention Newcastle someone has to bring up Saudi ownership / human rights. You do not get that with F1, partly because F1 is not owned by Saudi and its more about the sponsors money flowing in. IMO. It's conversations about sport in general I'm on about here in the US. But my post above probably explains that better. We're owned by PIF...F1 is not owned by PIF and has Saudi sponsors. huge difference.

I don't ever see VVD or Matip play the same speculative balls though or try aggressive passing. It's long balls to people directly or simple passes to the midfield.

Nope. I know a decent amount of folks who work with F1 and have done the Saudi event/dealt with Aramco folks and said they are absolutely fucking class. Nice as you could ever imagine. Absolute love F1.

I actually want Schar to hit more balls into space/channels and carry it far more too. I don't fault anything in his game tbh. The speculative balls to nobody in the channels are probably tactical (rugby style, move everyone up the pitch). The carrying ability he has is underated too, would love for him to do that more. And finally, his cross field diagnoals are immense as others point out. The least of our concerns are the potential 5-10 pts of % completion he could get if he was "more careful"

Would be awesome if Maxi learned to pass and move inside like Miggy does. Use his absolutely brilliant ball skills to create something, if not working, pass inside and dart past the fullback into space. If not received, get back outside and get the ball back and create something on his own, etc. Would be deadly.

The obssession over Schar's pass completion % when he's generally playing aggressive passes more than anyone else in our team by Dropout is hilarious to me. That's not too far off people getting mad at Ben Arfa losing the ball when he dribbles and attacks.

I really don’t care about his speculative passing into those channels, I assume it’s by design and either to trigger the press / pin into corner, relieve some pressure or someone in attack didn’t go and read the pass up there.
