Demanding money that basically most players of his quality make at other clubs. Not shocking, we pay peanuts in comparison. We do the good step-up from abroad but let's be real here, still cheap as fuck in comparison to other clubs in the league. Not saying these players should be making more money than they do...just saying. Pay the going rate and you get the players and retain the players.

I like many things he's trying to do, I'm alarmed at how poor we look at times and a ton has to be said about the recruiting and the footballing abilities seemingly drained out of these guys thanks to Pardew and Carver, but I'm just sick of giving it time where we've just now scraped out of the bottom 3 and it's November. I have the utmost respect for the coach and man that is McClaren to be honest. I can easily see he's doing his utmost to get us performing and I appreciate that. I just really don't think he's the right man for this job and I'd be happy to be proved wrong because we'd then see some moderate success. Outside of Shearer, I don't think I have a problem saying he's my favorite football player we've had and he'll likely be one of my all time favorites. The mad bastard went on strike to join us, sensationally, he rose and fell and came back every single time and excited us every single time he had the ball and that collective "gooo on!" he fucking loved us, and we loved him. Had he played for the right manager he'd still be here... I'll follow and support him wherever he goes.

He's massively improved his right foot and the thing he's doing now is shooting with his right which is not normal for him as he'd always be trying to get on his left peg. His style of play when he's running at players with pace is just incredible to watch, some of the stuff he can do with the ball when he's on full sprint is world class. At his best, on form, he's unplayable IMO.

This signing also brought us the rod stewart look-a-like scout demon creature. In my eyes, that scout is a god.

I think I read that Cole ultimately had issues being in the city BC he was a quiet and shy lad and was unable to cope with basically being everyone's hero and all that.

Young naive player making stupid comments isn't a shocking thing. He could have handled it better I'm sure but regardless fantastic find by KK and a brilliant finisher. Read a few KK books and all of them go into detail how much he challenged Cole and the absolute balls of KK to sell our 9 and replace him with Ferdinand and then supplement with Shearer. What a visionary man.
