  1. We are a big club, we've just an owner and manager who've brainwashed the majority(i think?) of our supporters to think we're not shit anymore.
  2. We are a big club, we just need a owner and manager to realise it. 100%.
  3. At first glance, I get mixed up with Yorkie and Ian's avatars ...
  4. They can get creative without going over board. Look at Inter, Juve and Atletico over the years. Common denominator is Nike of course.

I'm finding this game to be incredibly boring so far...for the first 20 mins.
  7. Mark-down the prices to encourage more sales on an expiring kit, its normal. All teams in the world pretty much do a new kit ever year now anyway. But seen nothing to suggest Puma wouldn't be doing our kits for another year, hopefully its Nike. Doubt it of course.
  8. Collar on the France kit is smart Flip. It's the best collar I've seen on a football kit.
  9. if Messi came to the PL, everyone can just pack it in and quit.
  10. Adidas signed a kit deal with the league. Just like all major American Sports. NFL with Nike. NBA with Adidas. NHL with Reebok (and soon to be Adidas I believe).
  11. FC Dallas has some terrible sponsor logo
  12. I'm clinging on to the hope that he was indeed sacked and cocked up so bad that he's officially gone.
  13. You know just know, that if Joe Kinnear wasn't sacked by the club, or this happened earlier in the season, that he'd be in the dug out.

    Sunderland

Hendo is an excellent player man, wish we had him as well. There's a ton of Liverpool players that Rodgers has brought in that have looked the part, or, turned some of the KD signings into something.
  15. Scored some 50 goals for AZ over 2 seasons and scored like 8 goals for the USA before he joined Sunderland. So yeah, we're all a little concerned about him as we need this b****** to play well this summer. Well aware the Dutch league isn't up to par, but his good form was translating in excellent international appearances where he was scoring all types of goals.
  16. I was high on Colo when he signed, hated him & every player who played for Newcastle when we got relegated; fell back in love with his style of play in the Championship and he literally could do no wrong in my eyes until he tried to force out that move 1/2 a year after signing a new long term deal that I celebrated and thought was a real coup for our club. He rightfully deserves criticism for seemingly jetting off home whilst being hurt, esp when he's our club captain, and if he seemingly is the glue that holds the squad together - then he should be in and around the training room/dressing room/substitutes bench being that leader. We always look so calm when he's in the team and I'll likely not see a more calm, assured and classy CB playing for Newcastle in some time (hopefully MYM shatters that statement for us). But anyway, I'll hold my hands up, I wanted him sat for rest of season when we got relegated as I was bitter scared of going down, everyone being sold, and never coming back up. Fair reaction, honestly.
  17. Sorry like, I was reporting what I saw in the flesh last night. He runs around a lot, but has zero effectiveness as a forward. The way he was played last night he looked to me like a very modest battering ram who has no clue what to do once the ball has come to him. He does give a mean lay off, but offered nothing else. To be fair, the US were absolutely woeful going forward in general. As someone mentioned (Deuce?) that Johansson looked quite handy coming on, and I remember him getting hold of a first time volley that was blocked on the line? His movement alone when he came on caused Ukraine a lot more problems than Altidore did the entire match. Should Altidore continue to struggle, it might necessitate a tactical switch to 4-4-2, which the U.S. has had success with in the past couple years. Pairing Altidore with a player just off his shoulder like Dempsey, Donovan, or Johannsson would probably benefit him. But it would leave us thin through midfield against teams with very good midfields at the WC. In a perfect world, Altidore regains some of the confidence and form he had last year, when he was capable of playing as a lone striker (and could score). But I don't know if that's going to happen between now and June. Altidore is having a Papiss Cisse type decline in form; where absolutely nothing is coming off for him in front of goal. Look at the type of goals he scored when he was playing in the Dutch league, but more-so for USA when he was in his rich vein of form. He was scoring headers, poachers, screamers, volleys, and even free kicks. He's actually perfectly fine holding the ball up, laying balls off and being a link-up player at the moment but he's worthless in front of goal. IMO, Johansson needs to be starting as he seems the most unique, explosive and classy goal threat we have at the moment.
  18. It's clearly been going this way for quite some time tbh. The new Mecurial Vapor leaks have some sort of ankle/sock thing and many American Football cleats were even going this way to help with Ankle support etc.
