    Fun88

Do we know it's fun88? Pretty sure nothing has been confirmed yet. Besides Philips or Sony wouldn't go near us. Yeah, I get that those are mega brands who want CL clubs, but you would think we could attract 2nd or 3rd tier brands of the same type. Huwei or Weetabix or some s***. I'd take that. For the people in charge it's all about who'll pay us the most cash though, and the bigger names don't need to be on our shirts as desperately as smaller name companies. It's not so much the size of the companies, it's their stupid names which end up all over our shirt. We finally get rid of Wonga and their cheap looking logo and now we get fun88 which looks virtually the same and equally tacky. you don't know the exact company yet, why are you so mad right now?

You don't get those bigger companies when the club has lacked ambition, been fairly irrelevant, and turmoil has always been around the corner. This is the first time we've had a positive season in ages, hopefully the club did the right thing and signed a very lucrative deal that isn't too far long term that way they can cut a new deal when we're stable in the PL and hopefully a top 7-10 side. Let's be clear here, if we have success on the pitch we'll be getting far stronger terms for kit and sponsorship deals.
  3. Adidas kits for Juve, AC, and Feyenoord are fucking lush.
  4. Love that Yedlin is on a vacation with his best pal Achraf in the USA
  5. So then why is it worrying? Post seems to contradict itself massively.
  6. "Other means" does rule out loans from Ashley. bottom line is Rafa is getting funds to rebuild, he's happy with what he was told - and if anyone is trying to do some back of the napkin forensic accounting on how that sum adds up then they are crazy just sit back and let Rafa do his business.
  7. I don't want or expect him to put any of his own money in. Do you? I was just pointing out that there's no apparent change to the previous policy - that the club should be self-financing. And no, there should be no expectation on any owner to put their own money in. The only exception would be if the club are fighting relegation and a player becomes available whose cost is just beyond the budget. What has changed is the manager appears to be in a more powerful position, and has the status to attract players on his own reputation. I don't think we're going to get any more eccentric, left-field decisions like appointing Kinnear as Director of Football. so why not get excited then, why be so glum? rafa is the best manager we've had since robson, arguably ever, and he's one of the few managers in the game you'd trust to give complete control you run your club from top to bottom and he's going to do it with us it's probably the exact time to get excited man As I said before, if we can't be optimistic at this point then there's literally f*** all left. If people are still doom and gloom after Rafa himself being very positive about all of this, then its best to ignore, not engage the misery. Rafa isn't an idiot and wouldn't dare let a concrete number or detail leak about the amount of money available - that doesn't help us in any regard when we're trying to buy a player and enter the transfer market.
  8. Fucking fantastic news So happy!
  9. we linked with him in the summer, no?
  10. Just curious, do the RTG folks think Pickford is far superior to Butland?
  11. If Ashley lets Rafa build the club back up his way, recruiting, academy, etc. there is no doubt in my mind we will see success on the pitch and we'll be challenging in the top 7 of the table in a few years.
  12. If Ashley gave Rafa what was needed and wanted, Ashley would actually have some fun owning a football club
  13. The Brighton players falling to their knees as Stockdale let that in
  14. Yedlin was 2 years younger and on loan playing for a shit Sunderland team. You'd assume working under Rafa and showing what he's capable of doing this past season would earn him a chance in the PL.
  15. Let him build this club his way and we'll be a top 7 side for as long as he's here and we will win something with him in charge, no doubt in my mind. Every time the pressure mounted on him and this club this season, we responded brilliantly.
  16. Just was thinking about the elation at 2-0, the annoyance with Baker to get the red and Brighton going 1 up with a penalty and sort of slouching back on the couch annoyed at everything Villa did before/after. Then that Greaaaaalish goal, going bezerk in the house and also hearing the news trickle into the stadium via the radio commentary, the roar after and being nervous as fuck about Villa holding onto the result. Villa then had a few more chances to put the game away on the counter, and when the whistle had gone there, jumping for joy, then hearing the news trickle into radio commentary too, awesome stuff.
  17. He's absolutely the type of player who should be in the squad, his contribution in winning the title was immense these last few weeks essentially taking over where Ritchie left off.
  18. Great run to end season, title won in dramatic fashion, momentum heading into next season indeed assuming Rafa gets the backing he wants.
