  1. I'm clinging on to the hope that he was indeed sacked and cocked up so bad that he's officially gone.
  2. You know just know, that if Joe Kinnear wasn't sacked by the club, or this happened earlier in the season, that he'd be in the dug out.

Hendo is an excellent player man, wish we had him as well. There's a ton of Liverpool players that Rodgers has brought in that have looked the part, or, turned some of the KD signings into something.
  4. Scored some 50 goals for AZ over 2 seasons and scored like 8 goals for the USA before he joined Sunderland. So yeah, we're all a little concerned about him as we need this b****** to play well this summer. Well aware the Dutch league isn't up to par, but his good form was translating in excellent international appearances where he was scoring all types of goals.
  5. I was high on Colo when he signed, hated him & every player who played for Newcastle when we got relegated; fell back in love with his style of play in the Championship and he literally could do no wrong in my eyes until he tried to force out that move 1/2 a year after signing a new long term deal that I celebrated and thought was a real coup for our club. He rightfully deserves criticism for seemingly jetting off home whilst being hurt, esp when he's our club captain, and if he seemingly is the glue that holds the squad together - then he should be in and around the training room/dressing room/substitutes bench being that leader. We always look so calm when he's in the team and I'll likely not see a more calm, assured and classy CB playing for Newcastle in some time (hopefully MYM shatters that statement for us). But anyway, I'll hold my hands up, I wanted him sat for rest of season when we got relegated as I was bitter scared of going down, everyone being sold, and never coming back up. Fair reaction, honestly.
  6. Sorry like, I was reporting what I saw in the flesh last night. He runs around a lot, but has zero effectiveness as a forward. The way he was played last night he looked to me like a very modest battering ram who has no clue what to do once the ball has come to him. He does give a mean lay off, but offered nothing else. To be fair, the US were absolutely woeful going forward in general. As someone mentioned (Deuce?) that Johansson looked quite handy coming on, and I remember him getting hold of a first time volley that was blocked on the line? His movement alone when he came on caused Ukraine a lot more problems than Altidore did the entire match. Should Altidore continue to struggle, it might necessitate a tactical switch to 4-4-2, which the U.S. has had success with in the past couple years. Pairing Altidore with a player just off his shoulder like Dempsey, Donovan, or Johannsson would probably benefit him. But it would leave us thin through midfield against teams with very good midfields at the WC. In a perfect world, Altidore regains some of the confidence and form he had last year, when he was capable of playing as a lone striker (and could score). But I don't know if that's going to happen between now and June. Altidore is having a Papiss Cisse type decline in form; where absolutely nothing is coming off for him in front of goal. Look at the type of goals he scored when he was playing in the Dutch league, but more-so for USA when he was in his rich vein of form. He was scoring headers, poachers, screamers, volleys, and even free kicks. He's actually perfectly fine holding the ball up, laying balls off and being a link-up player at the moment but he's worthless in front of goal. IMO, Johansson needs to be starting as he seems the most unique, explosive and classy goal threat we have at the moment.
  7. It's clearly been going this way for quite some time tbh. The new Mecurial Vapor leaks have some sort of ankle/sock thing and many American Football cleats were even going this way to help with Ankle support etc.
  8. These are putrid memories man, jesus - some of the crap we've endured.
  9. SBR Foundation for me + but yes 100% with you. I'd much rather these clubs be sponsored by charities or local companies.
  10. For reference, Altidore is dead to me as soon as this 2 week International break ends and he ends back up in Sunderland.

chipotle in the grounds? Sweet lord. Sweet, sweet lord.
  12. He's bloody brilliant and was on the cusp of being a star for some time; yet seemed like nobody felt like paying up. Rodgers laughing all the f***ing way to a CL spot and a title run? Fucking hell.
  13. Chevy sponsor looks terrible. Wish someone would over pay for our rights one day. We can't even get that! We get a shit company that underpaid with a terribly shit logo.
  14. Mole joining in? Noted. You'll get a 1 time only pass from me on it. Antiscore is also a shit rip. You're better than that
  15. I for one love a good slagging of Mike Ashley for whatever reason, stretched or not. Slander him and be sued for libel for all I care. I'm all for libel, slander, and all that other nonsense to that utter fucking prick.
  16. Nah, just Kanji - a pretty well respected poster on this forum who's a bit sick of the same old terrible har har Jozy nonsense. was just a bit #bantz. I was a supporting voice of the USA/Jozy support tbh my comment was more to those who have the same old Jozy stuff. Not against you SanToon.
  17. Still to this day wished we signed Sturridge, rate him highly.

  19. I'd take Besler, Gonzalez, Goodson () with Cameron as the swing guy. People hating Jozy for playing for Sunderland should be happy he was so s*** playing for Sunderland against us or else they'd have put 2-3 more back against us and it would have been a 4-0 or 5-0 at SJP. When it comes to World Cup time, I'm supporting my country - and Jozy is an American who just 12 months ago was playing the best football of his life scoring for fun - I've said how much I'll dislike him in that s*** f***ing Sunderland kit, and how much I think that move to Sunderland has been bad for him (even before he went there) but when he's got the American shirt on, I'm defending him fully as he plays for my country. So nah, not going to take this har har look at Jozy bull shit when he hasn't scored dick and looks off his shit - I'd still take an off form Altidore over many useless players who've played for Newcastle this season who couldn't conjure up an assist or trap a ball or whatever.

    Loïc Remy

Think he's actually getting better - with the way and type of goals he's scoring. He didn't look like this player towards the end of his Marseille days - some of the movement and sort of "fuck it I'm the man" type play in and around the box is a sign of not only a super confident player but one who seems to be growing into his own. He's in the WC squad basically with 13 goals -- think if we offer him a decent wage he'll stay. (we won't offer him a decent wage... )
  21. We were rumored to be after Jeroen Zoet of PSV if Krul left, and that lad has made the squad over Timmy.
