Get him a striker capable of trapping and holding up play with good link up skills and his deep runs will pay off. We instantly lose the ball if given to Cisse when he's being covered and opposition counters and we're left exposed because Debuchy and Santon are pushed up as well.

Belgium, Italy, Holland...any country that's not France after this summer

I watched that video way too many times in a row. Dont. Know. Why.

I'd take him for sure. Wish that Cabaye would have gone earlier in the window as I was hoping we would have gone after Belhanda. I'll take Gourcuff and Gomis for sure, but hoping we'd really go after a Sinclair and/or Tom Ince.

Still love beating them/hate losing to them, but during Redknapp's tenure was the pinnacle of my dislike for them. They/We may have had a shit match but we beat them on the opening match of last season as well. Things have changed massively since then.

From what I can gather and hypothesize, he's doing the absolute best hes capable of in terms of operating the scouting within a very strict and confined criteria. His job as scout to research and find talent is top notch, I think the role of the manager has been minimized so much here that at other clubs - a manager would identify if the specific player can adapt and fit into this league and/or team - which is something I'm not sure Pardew has much say in OR has clearly failed and hasn't a clue how to identify that.

I guess I opened up a can of worms calling it "The Graham Carr Experiment" ... Great talent spotter and contact(s) man who's suggestions were not properly filtered by ensuring they'd fit together in a given system or team. This is compounded with a poor manager who has no skill-set to build a team nor does he have that remit as manager of this club. The talent that has eventually been signed have been watered down to region & contract issues that were then poorly managed/developed by Alan Pardew and the coaching staff. I wonder...would be nice to see Graham Carr's FULL list of players - I'd imagine most of them were filtered out as too expensive from transfer fee & wage requests.

Like this idea, but Levy vs Ashley would never work. That could be a goer tbh, he's been underwhelming. Can't see him going for less than what he cost us though... Next! Spurs make me proper jealous - everything about their hire of AVB and moving the club forward has been great. HP as sponsor, excellent signings, young & exciting manager. Hell man. Really think with that cash injection and few more signings they could make a real title challenge. Fucking hell we were neck & neck with Spurs not too long ago.

Is there a reason you left out Remy? Or just saying if we sign Gomis now and Remy is still out with his injury?

The Battle For More Points than 2010/11 - SUCCESS!

smiled at this post on an evening I've practically not. cheers pip. -
The season we were fifth he was a confident if not arrogant man and it actually seemed to work for us. As soon as we lost at Wigan away and Everton that season we've not been the same and he's literally been weak and scared to make any attacking type of decision. Coward.
-
His heart in some of his team mates bodies and they'd be helluva player. He never hides, despite how limited he has become.
-
What frustrates me about him is that his thickness makes for school boy type errors that a player of his age and premiership experience should have sussed out. On the opening match of the league campaign he goes and throws an elbow on their top goal scorer on a long ball for the entire world to see. Thick b****** let us and his team down with that - even though many were of colleagues were have nightmare matches.
-
Sissoko and Mapou have everything in them and about them to be top players - they just need to be played with the right premiership experience around them, and a better manager to help adapt and develop them to this league.
-
Our best bet is he gets sacked or walks. (I know that won't happen)
-
Much better than what I said, and I agree with that. Spot on really. My calling it a failed experiment is that we turned it into our only buying policy and that has failed.
-
Same - as I posted in his thread, massive supporter of his and abilities given how much I watched him once we were linked with him and such. He's not shown anything of what he was doing regularly in France or for the national setup. I really can't explain why, not sure many can - its just clear he's really not up to speed what so ever and the struggling team thing was what I thought as well.
-
In an ideal world we'd make an excellent penny off him and basically pick and chose a better replacement who gives us what he does in terms of passing with someone with a better engine and some height. I'm assuming he's off before the weekend. Arsenal are a bunch of c***s. But we're a club owned by an even bigger one and we're left to suffer from all types of angles.
-
He's been a top player in France for some time and he caught people's eye at the World Cup in the summer - which priced us out of our move for him. No fucking way you could predict how poorly he's started here for us.
-
I was one of them, I was fucking wrong. Like many people are about many things in life.
-
I agree - I assume he's about to get sent off every freaking match.
