Ask him what's his favourite - Floritas or Madam Coo?
-
I've been a big critic but we are a better side with him, particularly given the alternatives.
-
Bloody hell, have him here in a flash, Taylor and Colo are never playing a full season and we have jack sh*t other cover
-
Forwards and wingers (loose term as I know we only have one!) woefully poor and I haven't seen anything so far to suggest differently.

Keegan vs Ashley and Co case settled - KK awarded 2m

KK fully vindicated - the club is run by a bunch of clowns -
I disagree, Woodgate was brilliant that night, Drogba's performances that season earned him the move to Chelsea, he was brilliant that season.
-
I don't think your memory is fuzzy at all, maybe 'joke' was strong but Woodgate had the best striker in Europe in his pocket that night, Drogba was on fire that season and Woodgate gave a masterclass of a performance.
-
Woodgate is the best defender I've seen at this club in 28 years of supporting NUFC. Shambles of a injury record and from all accounts which I personally have never verified, his personality is a little off but talent wise, light years ahead of anything else I've seen here.

Very happy but could do with some pace in side upfront/on wing - we got that and we would be untouchable. EDIT: I know we have Lovenkrands but I have never been convinced by him and would like additional person(s)

He needs to find another investor, the bank won't fund his deal.

Enrique looks very good at this level and a year in the Championship may do him the power of good, get that confidence level up which I actually think is the only thing stopping him from being a really good LB. Pleased he has stayed much more than Colo or Jonas.

Think this is a bit harsh. He was out of the game a bit before coming to us, I think he did well in a very tough situation and out shone Owen for goals from January onwards. He 'shone' did he? Thought he was lacking in the tackling, tracking back, first touch and timing of runs department. The first two will come if the squad is as tight as Hughton reckons, the other two matter less now. Having seen him, i wouldnt have wanted to keep him if we had stayed up. Would you? This

Wrong - the motivation is different - lending to a football club has massive PR and reputational risks attached as well as the obvious risk assessment from ability to fund and repay the debt. That has an impact on the appetite in the first place but additionally has an impact on the bank staying in when perhaps they might normally have pulled out - do Barclays want to be the local bank that put the club under? I'm not wrong, the motivation is profit. If Barclays think they'll lose their money they'll pull out wether it sends the club under or not. It amazes me how these discussions can go on so long based on a simple comment.. Barclays are lending us money as an investment, not a favour, you've already agreed with that earlier so why are we still having this discussion? Fine - you are wrong about Barclays motivation - well not wrong but inherently nieve as to how banks operate with existing exposures but agree we shouldn't continue to have this discussion.

A favour? Don't be f***ing stupid, its an investment. No different to giving me or you an overdraft. I wasn't being literal, of course its an investment - I meant that they have helped finance and support the club - which by the way no other bank would touch with a barge pole at present. And it is a bit different to giving you a f*cking overdraft given the context of PR and local marketplace - do you think you getting an overdraft would have to be approved by the Head of Corporate in Newcastle, the capital allocation committe and head of finance credit committe in London - its that sensitive an investment.
-
that is the stumbling block as i understand it. the bank want the overdraft reduced as ashley wont be the guarantor. the deal between ashley and moat is done. the bank is the block. Will the sales of Martins/Bassong/Beye/Duff not help on that front? As well as the wages situation of course. don't know. may well depend on what the clubs current finances and projections are. Agreed
-
What makes you say that? Nothing you state there is different to what everyone realises. More as to what some think the bank should do and why. Ah right, you mean the likes of James. Fair comment. My fault, I just realised my opening sentence was too wide and sweeping! Apologies!

I think a lot of people live in cloud cuckoo land. The bank is funding an ever increasing overdraft at the moment - they have been doing us a favour for a long time. Moat hasn't got a lot of cash - he needs Barclays but they will be looking to reduce that overdraft significantly as part of any deal - they are a business and NUFC is a high risk exposure.

I believe he was on Shearer's list

What internal management charges? The £99m came from: Match day revenue - £32m Media revenue - £41m Commercial revenue - £26m = £99M This is what happens when you ask a bod to do some digging for you and they look at the wrong accounts - you are correct, apologies - I was given an anlaysis of one of the intercompany accounts! No problem mate. Like quayside says you've probably got a point about the sponsorship and some of it already being spent by Shepherd (on Owen). Though it'll be very hard for us to know how much of it Northern Rock paid up front and how much they're giving us per year. quayside, do you know how much our sponsorship deal is worth per year? No - but the annual slice of it would be included in the figure of £26 million for commercial revenue. With Northern Rock my understanding is that they gave us a 4 or 5 year sponsorship deal back in 2005 and paid the whole lot up front, and it was used to fund our transfer activities that summer. Really?, all of it? I knew some of it had come in up front but I didn't think he'd spent all of it, that's completely mental I think that's what happened, it may have been £15 or £20 million. I haven't got the 2006 accounts. My 'bod' has come in useful - £25m over 5 years
