To be fair, get a draw against Liverpool, an extra time lose against Man City (where we had the chance to win first) and a win against Chelsea is fucking impressive.
  2. His main weakness is 1 on 1 versus opponents winger. You either let him exposed by playing Hatem or cover that by playing Gouffran or Sissoko. To be honest, for the sake of the team, I hope it is Hatem who adapt to it.

It is not motivation. It is preparation. The motivation is a big part of the preparation isn't it. I mean the players are not prepared for such a high-tempo pressing because Pardew didn't expect that. Motivation is another issue. I can see the players are willing to run, just they are lost. Pardew is good at preparing games which the opponents' play style is easy to predict. That's why we always perform well against team like Man Utd, Arsenal and now Liverpool. Today is a very good example of what he's shit at: if the opponent try sth else, we totally fucked up.

Sunderland's game plan is simple. Gung Ho right in the beginning to attack our weakness (CB) and then tried to grind out the whole match, because they can't compete with us in any category. And it worked. Pardew trying to settle down the team by changing to 442 - yes Dummet was no longer exposed but we simply given up the first half. Second half is nothing special - we unable to break down the defense twice and they didnt allow us to have space to run. And then some brainfart decisions from Cabaye and Tiote costed us the last goal. Shola should have come in a lot earlier and Cisse shouldn't play. Pardew's fault, in my opinion, was that he failed to anticipate that Sunderland would go gung ho and try to sneak a goal during the first half. If you could recall his comments pre-match, he was talking about attacking mentality, preparation etc, which actually indicates his prediction was completely wrong - I guess he predicts Sunderland would play very passively and trying to counter attack us. That's probably what he told our player too, and you can see they were all unprepared for such a gung ho pressing from the opponents. We shouldn't concede the first goal, and we also shouldn't give up the first half.

There are lots of points to defend, like Mbiwa's stupid sent off last match leads to the 1st goal, Tiote and Cabaye gone brain fart for their 2nd, Ben Arfa is a huge let down despite playing "out of position" (in fact he isn't) and we missed a few great chances. All are valid. But the point is, can we defend a manager who lost to the shittest team in the league? nevermind it is the scums. We should have thrashed them like 3-0. We should, no matter what happened.
  9. No, he can continue to shoot, just hit the target please.

you can have a million reasons to say today's unlucky, but even if this is taken into account, you simply cannot lose to the scums two times in a row, where they are commonly believed to be the shittest in the league. Pardew has to go. He has to.
  11. Interesting that no one blames Cabaye for the goal? That intercept attempt is fucking stupid and exposed the whole defense line.
  12. No, you can't. Mbiwa should never have been signed because we needed a player who'd immediately be able to defend at this level. MYM's more one for the future than what we badly needed. True. Not his fault that his backup is fucking Dummett. No disrespect to Dummett but the fact he is playing at centre explains why we are losing.
  13. Can I blame Mbiwa for this shit? had he not send off we won't concede this stupid goal and ruined our whole game plan. No way back anyway, sub Ameobi or Cisse to have a target man, and hoof it. At least it is more effective than going through the middle where ben arfa lose EVERY possession.
  14. whats the rationale behind for changing to 442 at that time? Defend? protect the back four i.e. Dummett?

not according to those in the match thread
  16. probably because no one know whats he going to do So that means they can't run into space? The same thing did happen during the SBR era, when Lua Lua was holding the ball.
  17. I don't want to defend Ben Arfa for "playing out of position" because he used to be playing through the centre until he joined us FFS.
  18. Seriously, how can anyone have faith on a Willo - Dummett partnership?
