Agree with that. I wonder who makes the statement,Ashley or Llambas?
-
Anyone still remember Keegan's "Dream Factory" declarations?
-
Can you do better than Ameobi?

The point is, if Keegan has 100% power to decide who should be bought and who should not, Wise' role would simply be a "negotiator" on behalf of Keegan. It will simply ruins the system Ashley would like to have. In an ideal world, Keegan should be able to bring in "some" players he thinks he desperately need to strengthen his squad, while Wise/other recruitment team members would also bring in a few players he believes the squad needs or has the value to invest, and hopefully, agreed and accepted by Keegan. That's what the system should work. While we don't know which players are belonged to KK and which belonged to Wise (we can guess it though), So far the system has worked EXTREMELY WELL and that's why all the fans are gutted. The transfers are actually spot on imo before the sales of Milner. Guthrie and Coloccini are very very useful players which worth every penny we spend and Jonas are simply an unbelievable signing. We are able to strengthen the team a lot WITHOUT any large sum spend during the summer. If this is what Wise did then he must be credited. And considering what Keegan wanna buy (if we believe the rumoured transfer list), Wise' transfer record is really justified --- Keegan to spend big on stars which he want, while Wise would try to make a few balanced and bargaining deals to strengthen the squad. The outburst is probably due to the loss on Milner (which KK highly rated but everyone else here didn't) and no big name stars in his list was brought in. Schweinsteiger is an unfortunate loss but I don't think the Wise team should be blamed for not signing big name stars --- everyone understand how difficult it is for a team without Europe competition. The system should works, and we all know it is going to work well --- the board decisions for these few months before the outburst were fucking great. We can apportion the blame among Wise, Ashley, KK or everyone else but in the end we just have no luck. I am quite confident that if one or two stars did join us KK won't go, and from this viewpoint the loss of Schweinsteiger was crucial --- but we all know it needs a lot of luck. Is KK being unrealistic then?

Other than Beckham Everone would have loved Henry and Lampard here Nah, not this one, the one that only consist of "proven EPL players" (which actually are shit players) --- consistent with what Keegan said in the early summer.
-
Honestly I would prefer another manager if the rumoured "wanted list" by Keegan for this summer is true.
-
Considering that Ashley has chosen the management team to handle transfer instead of manager, what we really need is a tactically talented manager. Any renowned tactical genius available in the market?
-
Either one must go: Wise and Keegan.
-
A shit subject, but wait, the media has already reported the disputes between Keegan and Ashley.co including the transfer issues and the funds available. Most of us didn't give a damn to those stories, but seems like the media is right --- at least, for this time.
-
tbh if we really sold Barton without a replacement lineup TODAY it will be a even worse transfer than Milner. We simply don't have enough central midfielder.
-
Isn't Diego Milito transfer completed already?
-
What's happened to Viduka like? Physically retired for me.

To be honest Xisco, Owen and Martins are a very decent strike force, considering we still have Ameobi/Smith as 4th choice striker (which should only play during injury crisis) and Ranger/Zamblera as youth reserves. Together with Nacho (a substitute of Emre), I don't think we will get any other attacking players. The only possible signing I can think of is a defensive midfielder as an improvement over Butt. A left back cover isn't that "urgent" enough for us to rush for a player today as we still have Edgar and Tozer as cover --- and certainly N'Zogbia too. Any decent defensive midfielder available in the market today? no Appiah though. Any Spanish?
-
Just check the record, should be 2 - Rossi and Sib. I won't classify Sib as a "hit" though, not the type of transfer we expect.
-
In the 2006 summer we also hope that we could sign 3 players before the end of the transfer window. In the end we did sign 3 --- all useless though. Transfer completed in a rush rarely brings good tbh.
-
It seems like a shifting of pressure rather than a move for securing his contract tbh. Owen definitely wouldn't like to have this offer announced to the public.
-
Even Milner lovers like me has to admit that 12m is purely a robbery, an open rape, assassination, sexual discrimination etc blah blah blah any kind of crime you can think off. Jonas right, NZogbia left, Enrique LB, Kazenga as winger backup, try to find a player who can play as winger and striker---everything solved.
-
It really depends what you expect from this season. Free from relegation is not a problem, but if you are expecting a chance to challenge the UEFA spot, we definitely need at least 3 more players.
-
Jonas > SWP. Period. Spend the money for a new striker rather than a right winger who only have 1-2 peak years left in his career.
-
It's just like theCarrick scenario again --- the team couldn't adapt well with the loss of Robbie Keane.
-
The Ashley's "scouting team" is simply brilliant. 3 signings with totally 14m transform the team completely! Fucking hell getin!
-
I think the reason why we sold him is because there is no chance he would back to the team - simply missing since the start of pre-season training
-
He really worths around 10m---the price Mallorca quoted during January. We finally make a great deal. Good job Viterre.

Is Jonas even faster than Dyer?
